Beautiful chaos: Why I celebrate mum milestones with a Photo Book
Hi, I'm Anne! When people ask what my daily life is like, I usually have one answer: "Beautifully chaotic."
Between the diaper changes, the endless appointments, and the "mental load" of motherhood, finding a second for myself can feel like a mission.
But I’ve learned something important: "Me-time" doesn't have to be a week-long spa retreat.
For me, me-time is about finding "me" again in the small, quiet moments. It’s a cup of coffee that’s actually still hot, a chat with a friend without being interrupted—and diving back into our favorite family stories.
Taking these few minutes to look back on how far we've come helps me hit the pause button on the daily grind and reminds me why all this "chaos" is so worth it.
Milestones that touch the heart
As a mom, you live for the "firsts." For me, those shaky first steps were one of my proudest milestones. Or that first, intentional hug, when tiny hands reach out specifically for yours. These are the moments I want to keep forever.
I love capturing these memories in a Photo Book. It’s not about filling up a bookshelf; it’s about reliving that wonderful feeling and seeing the smile on my face every time I flip through those pages.
More than just paper: A family ritual
The best part about my Journi Photo Books? I rarely look at them alone. We love nothing more than curling up on the sofa with my daughter, my husband, or the grandparents to reminisce together.
It’s incredible how vivid my daughter’s memories are when she sees the photos. "Mom, look! That’s when we saw the giraffes!" she’ll shout with sparkling eyes. We laugh at the snapshots from her mermaid-themed birthday party, and sometimes, there’s a little tear of joy.
These emotional moments are what truly bond us as a family.

Why Journi is my daily bestie
Let’s be honest: As a mom, I don’t have hours to spend dragging layouts around on a laptop. That’s why the Journi app and I are best friends.
Thanks to the smart AI, creating a book is so fast and easy that I can finish it between tasks. Plus, the quality is something you can actually feel—you can sense the pride of everything we’ve achieved on every single page.
A toast to us moms (and not just on Mother's Day!)
Mother’s Day is a special time for me. It’s a chance to encourage each other and be proud of the magic us moms make happen every single day. We manage entire lives; we deserve to be celebrated!
My tip for the dads (and anyone looking for that perfect gift): A Photo Book is so much more than a present. It’s a "thank you" that you can hold in your hands. And to the moms: You don’t need a lot of spare time to preserve your memories, but the emotional reward is priceless.
Go ahead, treat yourself to a moment to breathe.
Yours, Anne
