Mit's trip to Thailand

12 June 2015

Beers in Bangkok, Architecture in Ayutthaya, and Suits in Sukhmvit

9 June 2015

Ko Phi Phi: 'nuff said.

7 June 2015

Phatong Beach (Phuket): Took a pretty sick sleeper class ship to Suratthani followed by a 5 hour ride to Phuket. Views were totally worth it.

4 June 2015

Koh Tao: Enjoying the inner market street with meals on the edge of the world. Tried scuba diving with little success, but snorkeling in the bay was priceless.

2 June 2015

Ko Phangan Day 2: Driving Range and Bottle Beach. Golf and beach day is my kind of life. Also THE FULL MOON PARTY was a crazy experience!

1 June 2015

Koh Phangan Day 1: Did some trekking at Phaeng Waterfalls with a cool dip and a breathtaking view of the ocean and mountains (a paradise camera could not do justice for). Chilled at Mae Haad beach for the rest of the day and snorkeled a bit until a jellyfish the size of my head came a little too close. All in all an amazing day.

31 May 2015

Landed in Koh Phangan after taking 2 airplanes, 3 taxis, 1 fairy, and a rented motorbike. View was totally worth it. And amateur Muay Thai boxing was a cool bonus.
Chiang Rai by bus followed by the White Temple (day 1) and Golden Triangle (day 2). The night market food was amazing (especially the boiling soup in clay bowl).

27 May 2015

Chiang Mai --> Pai Day 1: The hot springs were the coolest attraction by far. Just wish they had something like this for those Chicago winters.

25 May 2015

Chiang Mai: Day 2 (cont.)
Chiang Mai: Day 2 Rented a moped today and took it to the mountains. Saw the Doi Suthep temple. Having a scooter was a game-changer, and it may be the best way to travel.
Chiang Mai: Day 1 Staying and Big & O's House #2 - no A/C, no problem; mosquito nets for days Saw some beautiful temples in the old city and artwork at the Sunday walking night market was beautiful.

23 May 2015

Kanchanaburi --> Bangkok for a impromptu family reunion.

22 May 2015

Took a bus up to Erewan falls after taking van to Kanchanaburi from the northwest corner of Victory Monument. It was gorgeous. Fish bit us and almost stepped on a scorpion, no big deal.
