Laura's visit to Florence, Italy

20 August 2016

In summary, Florence is crammed with beautifully detailed, old buildings. The sights are spread out, but it was nice to walk around and the buses run regularly. The only problems were that the hotel was miles away, few people spoke English and we only had an evening to explore. Could have easily spent longer here. X

More impressive buildings and the bridge at night.
A beautiful cathedral!

Found the hotel! Not what I'd consider to be city centre...took 2 buses to get here! However, it's nice and clean, has a pool and a bar, and most importantly, a comfy bed!

Day 20: Today started by getting a ferry from Bol to Split (Croatia). We spent the day at a sandy beach called Bacvice. Then we headed to the ferry port again. This time we boarded a large ferry heading from Split to Ancona, Italy. It was a long 11 hour journey, over night, with only seats available. Hard work.
