Jessica's trip to Italy

26 July 2016

The third and final day of Italia was my favorite. Our morning was filled with history and amazing architecture, the oh so famous Colosseum. 🏟 Later after my yummy lunch of pesto spaghetti and feeding of the pigeons again, we took a walk down to the BEAUTIFUL Trevi Fountain and tossed a coin into the fountain with wishes along side it. πŸ’™β›²οΈ we also had a chance to walk into the forgoes Pantheon Basilica which was smaller than I thought but still very beautiful πŸ›

Day two was a bus ride to Rome and a great tour of the Vatican City, which by the way is its on little country republic on its own 😌. We went into the Sistine Chapel but unfortunately weren't able to take picture of the beautiful artwork of Michelangelo :( but let me just say, pictures would've shown no justice. The painting are absolutely breathtaking. Afterwards we went inside of St. Peter's Basilica and came out into St. Peter's square (hoping to see the Pope lol) and snapped some great photos of the buildings. We also bought some things from the gift shop and had them blessed by the Pope which was amazing and great gift

Day one in Italy was quite a hot one, reaching to at least 100 degrees!! Florence was our first stop which was short but very pretty and I also got to see the statue of David by Michelangelo (quite a view I might say, especially of the back side πŸ˜‰). The pizza and spaghetti was good as always in Italia πŸπŸ•and we got to take a tour around the Duomo which was very large and beautiful architecture on the outside walls. I also almost had my mom convinced to buy me that great David apron for a friend πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
