Jay's voyage in Italy

Also we hiked up trail through an olive orchard!!!
The trip got off to a rocky start. Sleep deprivation always gets the best of me. Deb met us at the airport and we rented a red Fiat Panda. Then we followed Debbie to a supermarket in a torrential rainstorm. Got to Il Borhetto in the rain up stone road. House was nice but freezing. Phones didn't work, wifi didn't work. We felt cut off from the world and questioning why we came here. The next day, Saturday we drove and met Debbie for coffee and pizza in Lucca. Very nervous about driving. Roundabouts are scary. Lucca is a wonderful small city. There was nothing not to like. I wish I could speak Italian. Today, Sunday we went to Debbie & Jims's for lunch with a bunch of Canadians from Toronto. The drive was dicey, but the views and the food was fantastic.
