Jaime's voyage in Cambodia

5 October 2015

I'm travelling from Sihanoukville (Cambodia) today to Vietnam! Sihanoukville has been lovely apart from getting absolutely shit faced and spending the whole of yesterday feeling extremely sorry for myself!

One of the local boys we met last night!
Today we went to the Tuol Sleng Prison, also known as S-21 and the killing fields in Cambodia. The two places were amazing yet very sad to see. It's scary to think this happened in 1975-1979, so not that long ago! During the time at the Tuol Sleng prison 20,000 people died and there were only 7 survivors, 3 children and four adults. Today we were lucky enough to meet two of the survivors who are now 75 and 85. If you can google Pol Pot, he's the one who's responsible for this genocide happening!
It's 12.38 here and we've got an early start tomorrow! The hotel is damp and smells and a cockroach was found on one of the boys beds which is hideous! Going to attempt to sleep without getting crawled on in the night! 🐜🐞
