5 April 2015

Left the hotel at around 12 noon and embarked the house boat. It's really big one with 3 bedrooms with attached bathroom, a separate area with a dining table, some chairs and a table in the middle and a small mattress in the front of the boat to enjoy the ride and the sun. Had lunch at 13:30: raita with ananas, fried fish, 2 dry vegetable dishes, rice, papad and at last a sewai kind of sweet dish. At around 15:30 we had tea with banana pakoras ( it was sweet but then quite delicious with ketchup). On the whole way one can see the whole (almost) at the banks of this river, people taking bath, washing clothes, beautiful small houses, mango trees, birds and so on. At 16:30 we made a stop at a so called village named Champakulum. But the place was quite commercialized for the tourists with handicrafts shops, the prices were quite high, atleast not for the villagers๐Ÿ˜Š. But the real attraction was a 500 years old church, very beautiful and colorful. A must for everyone!
And the dinner..
