Colonial Williamsburg
A few pictures outside the Tavern that G.W. Dined at 98 times. When we were leaving my dad spotted a dear so we ran in the direction of the deer and I go out my flashlight to shine. Jacob got out his light and I used my mom’s phone as well. Tmo got in the van and turned on the brights. The deer was so close so I snapped a few pictures of Jacob! 😍
Our dessert!
We headed back to Colonial Williamsburg for dinner. We are at Christina Campbell’s Tavern. I had a bow of French onion soup. Jacob and my parents both had the Waterman’s Supper. It came with corn or calm chowder, a seafood medley of stuffed flounder, a lump crab cake, and North Carolina grilled shrimp. Tmo said they were the best shrimp ever. The plate was accompanied with roasted vegetables of the season and roasted red bliss potatoes. Their meals came with dessert and two slices of double fudge chocolate cake were ordered. I managed to get a delicious scoop of raspberry sorbet. The napkins were large and the chairs are the same chairs that we have in our dining room.
In the gardens at the governor’s palace. So beautiful!
