Good thing we watched Contagion the day before we catch our flights home... 🙄😉👍🏻

Adam is going to miss being in Europe.. Home to the man bag. (Not the backpack guy.. The other guy lol)
I seriously have no idea where all this vacation weight came from... Thanks Italy.
8 June 2016
Mount Vesuvius over Pompei and surrounding cities...
The dark side.... Of the Almafi coast.
The one thing I took a picture of in Almafi... I'm just getting lazy now. I think it might be time to head home. 🤔

Italian tunnel cows... Watch out for those sneaky SOB's
Dear Sicily, there should not be puddles in a tunnel.... 🤔
Ferry to Sicily, Adam's first time driving onto a big ferry like this.

My reaction to trying melonchello: "Goddamn that tastes like cantaloupe!!" I'm so classy...
😎This doesn't suck.
4 June 2016
Holy shit... Naples is a dump. 💩
3 June 2016
Part two of Pompei apartment.
"Mama Mia" is not just a funny thing we make fun of... They actually SAY it and say it a lot. 😂 ❤️
Part one of the nicest AirBnB yet... $74 bucks in Pompei gets you a brand new penthouse apartment with a huge private patio, a stocked kitchen full of food and wine, jacuzzi tub with all the soaps and candles one could need, hoodie robes, a couple flatscreens, strong Wifi, ice cold air conditioning... I mean seriously this place is unbelievable and yes - those are fresh flowers!!!
Journi isn't pulling in my recent photos so I'm not able to show the last few weeks... Ugh... I'll try later. Although truthfully since I haven't been on a train the last few weeks I don't have the down time where I'm bored out of my mind so... Yeah... Just living in the moment and trying to document things when I can. This is such an amazing trip I am so blessed to have this opportunity and share it with the love of my life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Not sure how we are going to ever top this one but I know we'll give it a go... Lol for sure.
I'm not sure why Italians even bother to put lines on the road... 😆
2 June 2016
While I appreciate the free toilets in Italy... The lack of toilet seats is a bit disappointing. ☺️
I found the "fist of death" in the hotel lobby!!! Ha!
31 May 2016
Currently eating at the Frenchiest Vietnamese restaurant ever in Monte Carlo. One kind of Phó, no Vietnamese coffee and frog legs... Yes we got the frog legs... However these crispy little numbers hit the spot. 😁
Just saw an Italian gas station attendant smoking next to the pumps..... 🤔😶
28 May 2016
Open 24/7... Until 9pm... 😑😑😑😑😑 🙄
Came all the way to the Tuscan hills to get some good Indian. 😁 lol oops.
27 May 2016
The view from our apartment in Corniglia, Cinque Terra (the middle of the 5 villages). It was rustic and perfect.. No Wifi, no TV... We washed our clothes and hung them on the line, made dinner in our little kitchen, played our new board game, hung out with the locals at the cafe every morning and just took it all in. It was the best type of week, a chill week.
26 May 2016
If I took of pic of every European public service worker we came across, it would look exactly like this. #workisforjerks
Oh yeah... Pepperoni doesn't exist here... Hahaha my bad. 😁
"Salad Verde".... 😆
24 May 2016
We just learned on the train on our way to Cinque Terra that the Italian train workers were going on strike that evening......Really? Reaaaaalllly? 3 times, THREE TIMES??? Lol... Fucking Europe. The following pics are our emotions upon learning of this cluster. (Actually in the end it worked to our advantage... The strike only lasted 24 hours and it kept everyone out of our village for the day and it was pretty freaking awesome... So yeay laziness!!!)
Teaching your girlfriend to play the ukulele on the train is not ok. 😯🙄
23 May 2016
Obligatory Venice photos, lol. We had fun the last day when we got away from the tourists... Man tourists suck. 😉
22 May 2016
As we r here waiting way too long for our food... Ratatouille came shooting out with our beers. Oh... And (pic 2) btw this is not a personal size pizza... But in case you thought it was small... here's ur giant basket of bread.
21 May 2016
Drinking (5 beers in) my way to Venice via Milan. Fuck Geneva, Chamonix and that whole region. Honestly I'm not too thrilled with Switzerland. Pick a side and nut up for fuck's sake. Thanks for nothing Rick Steves. Your suggestions are dicks. 🐒💩
20 May 2016
The French "Alpiest" McDonald's ever...
(Even the pic of the guy on a bike... He has a baguette in his basket...) 😆
Mont Blanc and Fondu. How very French of us. We love it, we hate it, we love it, we hate it... You bastard!!! 🍾🚬 *Side note: that's a glacier you're looking at in the first pics. 😍
Mont Blanc's "Into the Void". Very cool. Ha "cool"... ☃
Today we take the tramway alllll the way to there.
19 May 2016
View from our AirBnB although the fog is covering half of mountain. 😑
Our new bff
18 May 2016
Driving to Chamonix, thanks to the french transportation strike. Lazy bastards.
Update: Geneva is filled with douchebags and France has shitty freeways.
Well, the Swiss win for the best train category: the cleanest, a Starbucks car, plugs at every seat, murals in their bathrooms and beautiful views. Dang.
Waking up to this doesn't sucks. I think I like Switzerland. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Update 4 days later: maybe Zurich is better but for the record... While it IS pretty, I do not like Switzerland.
17 May 2016
Ljubljana Part 8: Last few pics of the beautiful city. There were having a cello festival (university has a big string music program I think) and came across these guys playing "Sweet Home Alabama"... Very, very cool. I took a video that I can't post here but I'll see if I can post it to Insta or Facebag later.
Ljubljana Part 7: horse burger. Local food. Adam loved it and said it tasted like a McDs sausage patty which speaks VOLUMES about McDs. Haha. That is why I didn't like it. Too mushy (although it was due to preparation) and at the end we both tasted hay. Lmao
Ljubljana Part 6: we went to (insert name when I have wifi) where artists squatted in an old military barracks until the city government decided to let them stay to foster creativity and an art scene in Ljubljana. We had a coffee and took in the sites. Although it's definitely more of a night scene, there were some great photo ops.
Ljubljana Part 5: Ate at Union Brewery and wasn't that impressed. It had a more commercial feeling like Stone but meh... The other local beers (not Union) that we tried were very very good though.
Not sure what a California camp is but ....?
Even their bathrooms are fancy. 🙃
Llubljana Part 4: This city... Just wow. The architecture is elegant and unexpected for such a small town. It feels like an unspoiled Prague or what our host said "what Prague used to be." I had to take videos to capture to vibe because it was so nice. We strolled through old town and had beer at cafe along the river. The listed a California burger with thousand island dressing. In and Out Burger anyone?!!? 😎 We checked out a game store and bought a game for the train. We also gave back to the community buy helping some young men decide on the Train Game...because it's awesome.
Llubljana Part 3: shipped in their market and saw another bridge with clear bottom panels to see the river. Lots of sculptures incldg. That scary fish trying to eat Adam's finger.
Ljubljana Part 2: Dragon bridge! The Dragon is the symbol of Ljubljana so needless to say our Christmas ornament is this dragon. 👍🏻
Llubljana Part One: We drop our bags at the train station and stop in to McD's for a little snack so we aren't hangry. They have fried brie.. Not mozzarella cheese stick like I thought and they were awesome. Don't judge. Sometimes you just need a fountain Coke before you stab someone. Then we start exploring and see this beautiful church. I'm not sure what's up with these fierce looking fish with razor sharp teeth but they keep showing up.
16 May 2016
Zagreb Part 2: We walk through their daily market and spot delicious fruit incldg. the largest grapes we've seen and pag cheese which is on my agenda to try. (Look it up and you'll see why). We head to a local club for some local brews and then to Tolkien's LOTR themed pub that started Zagreb's craft beer scene 20 years ago. We get some traditional Croatian food and have the best Gnocchi I've had in my life. I get my pag cheese on my cheese plate and these ROLLS!!!! It was like a biscuit and a roll had a delicious baby. So dense and buttery... We couldn't walk when we left. Then we stopped for a cappuccino outside the train station and people watched until our train arrived. Side note: I was so tired from not sleeping that I forgot to check for a locker to store our bags so we tracked those monsters around all day. As we wait for the train I head to the bathroom to see giant lockers that would have kept us from lugging those things around. 😑 We did not make that mistake again.
Zagreb Part One: We leave the train station to find a beautiful day and even more beautiful city. It has a very Midwest, small town/big city feel. We eat a small lunch in the park and visit the Zagreb 360 for a view of the city.
15 May 2016
Nothing works in Europe. On our overnight train to Zagreb we arrive to find a much nicer train that our last one. We received champagne, chocolate parfaits, gift bags, a free breakfast, bottles of water, etc. so we think we are just living the good life....
Then the air conditioning doesn't kick in. We were told "this happens sometimes" and that it was only he sleeping cars that had this problem... Oh and there is no dining car... And the train is full so you can't be moved...Oh and your bathrooms don't work.... so do your business in the back chumps.
After a few hours the air trickles out and although Adam got some sleep... I didn't. The best part.... 😡... A half an hour before we get in to our connecting station where they switch out the engine (what they were supposed to do 7 hours before) the air comes back on... Too bad it's 39 degrees outside. Yeah..... 😒
A quick stop in Rome due to rearranging our schedule (strikes in Greece) but we'll be back in a few weeks. 3 objectives: Colleseum, cannolis, and a pork sandwich we saw on Layover with Anthony Bourdain.
Verdict: with the fences outside the Colleseum it looks like the Shoe in game day, I need more cannolis in my life and while the sand which was great, Anthony Bourdain is an asshole who had a driver and never walks anywhere. We had to hike through... A less than desirable area with 1000% humidity and eventually rain.
Also, Rome is dirty and needs to take better care of their shit. 😑
14 May 2016
Ok... I was a little tough on Greece the other day. It started out as a great day at a yummy restaurant, then little annoying things happened including scratching my fancy new glasses I bought before the trip. The next day, Friday the 13th, was a perfect day so it more than made up for it. However... Greece is still very much like Mexico. Later I might list my specific grievances but for now I want to post happy things. 🌈
We had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport so we stopped at a beach that you could drive on. Well... We weren't sure of the rules but really...who is going to tell us no? "Tis Greece!". 👍🏻 No life guards, coast guard or police to speak of anywhere. There were some gypos (😉) living in a van but I don't think they were going to say anything. Adam's first beach driving experience was a good one.
We hung out at Profit Elias and watched tour buses battle it out on top of a mountain. Adam got to call a driver a "vlaka" or "flaka" when he asked us to move. It was entertaining. The monastery is open from 6am to 9am....3 hours everyday so if you want to see it... Get there early. 😑
13 May 2016
My driver for the week. 😁
Our last sunset down the street from our apartment in Oia. We had the whole cliff to ourselves. ❤️
Time to plan out lodging for the last two weeks. It's coming up too fast!!! 😩
Kissing Fish Spa did an excellent job on our feet. It was Adam's first mani/pedi (but won't be the last!!) and the first time with fish for both of us. It wasn't ticklish after a few seconds and very relaxing. Loved it.
12 May 2016
Wanna know what Greece is like? It's Europe's Mexico. Santorini is TJ.... It has pretty spots but yeah...😑 I think it's time for us to bounce. A week here and we are good to go.
Parking in Greece is really an anything goes kind of place. ☺️ we found this near the corner near our favorite Thai place. We ate there 4 times because...good food is good food no matter where it is. We parked on the actual corner because eh... "Tis Greece".
Nice quiet day by the beach. $200 for the bed in front but our almost identical palapa with two big comfy lounge chairs were free. The entire beach was dead too! People are crazy sometimes.
Our hike to red beach. Adam has the pics of us on the beach. Surprisingly a good beach to lay and swim... There is though the danger in getting there. If you look closely at the cliffs they are made of tiny little rocks that fall and crumble alllll the time with a sign that says you can enter at your own risk. I'd still do it but that would be if I came back to Santorini which I probably won't. I defined it want to see more of Greece but I'm good with Santorini.
This was his snack stand spot and wasn't moving.
11 May 2016
Finally, I gots me gyro. You would think they were everywhere... Nope souvlaki for days but not a gyro to be found. 🤔
Two wineries down, two broken glasses (all Adam) haha, lots of fun. We met a nice British couple and chatted with them about our kids as teenagers, how we love them and how they never drive us bat shit crazy. 😉
The last pic is of me with hot mess, "I jumped out of a boat" hair. (The pic doesn't do it justice.) Although some may want to dress up to these places...we don't waste time on frivolity. We show up like the bums we are. 🇺🇸
More pics of our first winery. I forgot the name of this winery and I'm in a plane so I can't look it up. Best winery experience in the island. It was quiet, service was amazing, staff was super friendly and I thought the wine was better. We liked the first and the last of our flights which I show in the pics. The last one is similar to all of the desert wines I tasted in Santorini but the first glass was original. Probably the best white (for me) that I've ever tasted.
Broken glass number one! Lol
Lunch on our boat ride. Grilled sardines and octopus... Sooooo goooood
10 May 2016
Here is me hot, tired and trying to look cute and skinny before our picnic lunch on a cool cliff we hiked to. Ugh, I don't remember the name. Ok I need to look this stuff up. Adam has all the pics too for some reason. This post to be updated...(I'm currently bored on a plane so I'm trying to update things offline.)
Some Santorini pics from our hike. I have a ton more but apparently didn't take them with my phone. I need to post from Adam's phone.... Hmmmm
9 May 2016
Cool shot of the sunset. Adam did this to me the day before. Cool idea. 😁
Sunset in Oia #2, way far away from the tourists
The lady at the laundromat has a very friendly bunny she keeps on the washers while she works. This is when we came back to pick up our clothes and saw him still there. A few poops were there but eh.. None in our clothes. "Tis Greece".
8 May 2016
Upon recommendation from our host, we went to Santorini Mou where the owner plays live music (really well) and places a flag from your country on your table. So cute! They also take a photo of every table and puts them in a photo book. The books are massive. Also, the owner's son hangs out with the lead singer of Green Day and visits him in San Fransisco once a year. An entire photo book filled with photos of the owner and Green Day was brought to our table, haha. Nice place, good traditional food, music, vibes... If you're going there - check this place out.
Sunset #1 in Oia. Unplanned and perfect.
The crowds for the Oia sunset are insane (check out all the people on the rock and hanging from the walking paths). It's mostly from the cruise ship tours... But what can you do? If you walk just down a little further it is much quieter and the view is just as good.
A few pics of downtown Oia on our first evening there. We were lucky to stay right outside of the village where it was nice and quiet. It was closer to the beach, in the countryside, a 2 min drive to downtown and cheap! It was another AirBnB gem.
The old Thira ruins are on a mountain peak overlooking the city. You can drive most of the way but there was a hike to the top and no bathrooms on the mountain so... Yeah we didn't spend a whole lot of time here but we made it to the top and it was worth it. It was amazing to the advanced irrigation system from thousands of years ago. Too bad it hasn't developed much since then.... Hahahahaha. That one was for Adam. 😆
7 May 2016
Hard core backpackers. We had to find a room after the transportation strike kept us from Santorini for a night so we hiked our way ... Alllll they way.... a mile down the road to the Hilton, lmao. It was difficult but the upgraded suite, spa and pool helped us recover from some questionable AirBnB experiences to date. 😁
6 May 2016
The entire continent of Europe is obsessed with motion lights, especially near their bathrooms. Why California doesn't get on board with this is beyond me.
5 May 2016
Sunset at Flisvos Marina. ❤️ oh, that giant boat is the third largest sailing yacht in the world called Maltese Falcon. Adam has a better pic but you can see the giant masts in the first pic.
Roman Agora (more old stuff) 😉
Random city stuff and flea market.
Lycabettas - best view in Athens. It was a hike up (which we needed) but worth it.
Sleeping in silk sheets with Greek ruins as my night light...this trip doesn't suck.
4 May 2016
We tried to hike up to see the Acropolis last night since we are only a 5 minute walk from our apartment. Google took us the back way though tiny ally ways that although dark and smelled occasionally of cat pee (lots of cats here) it was one of my favorite moments because I felt like I was walking through history. Thousands of years worth if footsteps and we had the whole place to ourselves. Not the Acropolis, oh no, that was closed 👍🏻 but the way up was secluded and a great memory. The hill with the light in the background is the hill we hiked the next day. The church and restaurant are lit up.
The place we are staying is hilarious. It's obviously this guy's college pad he doesn't want to get rid of since he graduated 5 years ago. However it is really cool that he has these ruins shown in his basement apartment. The first pics are right outside the door to the building where it is all glass and shows the ancient irrigation canals found when they built the place. Since we are staying in the only basement apartment one of the windows goes out to you these the same irrigation ruins. The other pics are of his crazy decorations including remote control mood lighting, silk sheets, a PS3 stocked with tons of games and movies, and numerous knick knacks which make this a really fun place to stay.
My first views of Greece! Looks just like Southern California, lol
Here you see how Romania does wine. No seriously... The lady we stayed with said while although she wouldn't buy wine on the side of the road, winemakers bottle their own and sell them in these big plastic jugs. This is how you see them at the grocery store. I had some of her's and it wasn't bad actually... Very Boone's Farms/box wine kind of good, but good. ☺️
Lots of "cheeeeply made crap for saaaasle". Very TJ-esk.
The Southern Carpathian Mountains looking very Transylvania-like on our way "home" to Brasov.
Their money is VERY cool with little see-through panels. We need see-through panels... Someone needs to get on that.
3 May 2016
I've never seen these reserved parking space blockers before. Why do we not have these everywhere?!?!
Bran Castle (Dracula's) Part One: Outside Stuff
2 May 2016
Listening to Biggie and then a remake of "Jolene" by Dolly Parton in a burger bar...in Romania. This trip is pretty tits. 😉
Holy shit... Romania is full of Romulans. Or should I say Rômúanschzskiēs? 😮 . I just met a lady who came straight from the Romulus.
I know get why everyone in these countries are miserable. Nothing and I mean nothing in these countries works the way it's supposed to. I love my country. I'm feeling especially patriotic today. (Yesterday I was not happy when taking about our lack of maternity leave and shitty schools with a lady from Denmark but today....) USA! USA! USA!
1 May 2016
Cont...because yeah I have no desire to end up in the St. Kerjibidditydoo hospital with a busted ankle, but I digress. So I'm running full tilt like a maniac with handfuls of food while the locals laugh their asses off. I finally get to my platform and and damn near dive in the train but I make it. We feast and feast and all is right with the world.
And as I've just re-read this I've realized that it was a lot of build of for a disappointing end...hopefully James doesn't read this because I'm sure I'll be shamed thoroughly.
Cont...who wasn't smiling because no one in Western Europe smiles, and dash away to the next kiosk, because why would she also sell drinks at her stand that has Romainian porno but no Coke? Total transaction time 1 minute. By now I'm getting worried because as I get to the next kiosk there is a line longer than that to get into a whorehouse offering freebies on a Tuesday afternoon. So I grab a bottle of water a liter of Coke and wait. One minute, two minutes, three minutes...the vain in my forehead is throbbing and the guy in front of me is having a fucking conversation with Olga the mustachioed shop keep. Finally I get to the counter, point to two bags of salty things on the shelf behind here, grab two of the chocolate whatever's on the counter and then basically grunt. She gets the cash I get the change and I'm off to the fucking races. I have all this shit in my hands and I'm running at a full sprint again trying not to trip down the stairs...cont.
Cont...So I fast walk to the station across 8 platforms and get inside, gasping in relief that there is an ATM, because of course they don't take Euros, but only Romanian funny bucks, and after three tries it doesn't work and rejects my card. So again I fast walk back to the train and tell Tonya we're shit out of luck. Then as I see the defeat and tears welling in Tonya's eyes I ask another conductor and he says twenty minutes again, but he says this in Romanian so I don't trust his mustache having, sausage neck sweating ass, I say fuck it and take off at a full sprint. Get into the station say "fuck you ATM, give me some God Damn dingbats" and lo and behold it works. By now it's been 3 minutes and I'm thinking I'm gonna be sleeping in the his train station, but I'm fully committed. So I run out the front door to the nearest kiosk and grab two gigantic mystery meat sandwiches, damn near tossing a handful of brightly colored money and this squat, angry babushka wearing woman...cont
Adam: So we're sitting in the middle of no where in either Romania or Serbia, and the train broke down...which no one told us anything but thankfully the nice lady from Denmark next to us had a friend call her and let her know the train was delayed. So Tonya was hanging out of the side of the train having a smoke. Though my bet was on a herd of cattle or sheep on the tracks.
Either way I met a crazy Romania dude on the train that spoke a little English and I spent about 2 hours drinking beer and trying to have a conversation with him using half ass sign language and the little bit of German I know (because he spoke some German).
And oh yeah we didn't realize that this was a 15 hour commuter train ride with 21 stops and we didn't pack any food. So as we are dying of hunger, about three hours in, we finally get to a stop that doesn't look like the beginning of a horror movie (think Hostel) or Mad Max and I ask the conductor if I have time to get food and he says 20 minutes. Cont...
29 April 2016
tanya means "farm" in Hungarian... tonya means "Tonya". 😁
28 April 2016
Why they keep putting bar soap in train bathrooms I will never understand. #handsanitizersaveslives
26 April 2016
Had an awesome time at the Habibi Hooka Lounge, met a guy who lives in Budapest and his family who live in Culver City who gave us great tips for upcoming trips. A guy that was with them is from Texas who lives in Cairo and met because the family was Egyptian. I hear the Texan talking about how LSU has the best tailgate parties and he saw me smile/smirk so I had to chime in that😉 we met at Ohio State." They respond with, "ah!!! The Buckeyes right?!?" FYI we are moving to Budapest, LOL, 45 days off, plus all the holidays which are like 20....everyone stops at 5pm. Yeah... We might be visiting our future home in a few days. 😬
Adam: I've gone this entire trip and haven't broken a single glass, until just now. Damn it.
25 April 2016
I feel like I'm in a Russian bread line. Open another F*CKING register!!! 😆
Candy shop. These are all made out of sugar. 😍
Halušky, pirohy, strapačky, cabbage soup and lots of beer. #slovakinmybelly @Slovak Pub
Mind the gap! (This is where Ruth Wilson lost her foot 9 years ago!)
On the way back to Prague's central station. Haha. This city was definitely an R&R one for us. I didn't leave the apartment once yesterday and ordered a pizza. That was an adventure itself! We are nice and rested now - ready for Bratislava. Will post Prague pics on train if I don't have another super interesting lady to talk to like last time. 😊
23 April 2016
Quickie Mary hull. (We went there 3 times.) Yummy grapefruit beer, those amazing peanut poofs we had at the bar in Frankfurt, sandwich we bought every day that had all kinds of meats, sweet pickle and egg (they put egg on everything), and for girls only paprika chips. Adam is the king of finding good quickie mart sandwiches. I generally hate all of them but he seems to find ones I like. :)
So... The place we stayed was really cool. A college girl's apartment but way nicer than anything I ever had. At some point I want to upload pics of all our places because they really have become a fun part of our trip. This one for example was the first place where the host actually lived there but gave up her whole place for the weekend. She is an art student and had these on her walls. Yes that is a unicorn with well... You'll see. Lol
Found these in a vintage store and they wanted way to much for them. I found my Christmas project for 2016.
22 April 2016
First pic is of the Prague castle from across the river. We stayed within a few minutes of it but still managed to not go inside haha. "That's for next time... Lol" is a recurring theme. When you're out for three months, sometimes staying in bed all day is the best thing to do. The castle is the largest complex in the world so yeah... We'll definitely see that one next time and not accidentally nap our entire day away. 😁 It was soooo nice though. ❤️❤️❤️ We relived our college days and slacked off. Totally worth it.
The view from our first restaurant in Prague and their amazing dumplings. Similar to pierogies but with pan fried pork in the middle. Sooooo good.
On our way to Prague... It's what all the cool kids do.
We met a lady, Ruth Wilson, & spoke with her almost the entire ride. Almost 70, she's traveled the world many times over, accomplished in multiple careers, lost her foot in a TRAIN ACCIDENT 9 yrs ago, and as you might expect she was pretty damn interesting. Her first career was as a civil engineer (a bad ass one - she was in the Army Corps of Engineers). She graduated from Georgia Tech back when women were forbidden to wear pants on campus sothere were lots of discrimination stories. 😡 As for her foot, she lost it at the train station we were going to!! She slipped off the train step as it moved(no whistle) and trapped her leg. She climbed back onto the platform & looked only once at her foot. "It looked like raw chicken, cut poorly, with a dull knife." 😲. She's been to Prague many times since and said "It's not Prague's fault I lost my foot." Such a bad ass. We helped her w/ her bags and she helped us get a taxi. It was a great trip and I hope to see Ruthie's book in stores soon.
My view for the next six hours, from Munich to Prague. At least I'll have time to update Journey now. 😁
Adam: Three words for Alex....
Czechy Chain Change (Chains)
21 April 2016
Adam: At the the gas station, were filling up and this ridiculously small Mercedes A120 with a trailer was getting gas in front of us and he was having difficulty pulling away and making the turn out. He was acting like he was driving an 18 wheeler and I immediately said "Dude you're car is the size of a tampon move it the fuck along!".
Adam: Mama walked into an Austian gift shop and said "Hola" to the shopkeeper and than shot me a look and said "whatever, I just came from Spain!"
Adam: Last night after hitting the original Hofbrauhaus and having a few mega beers and a ton of bread and pretzels we were driving home through downtown Munich with the windows down bangin' some Kanye. Oh yeah.... and also some Tay Tay never getting back together LMFAO!
20 April 2016
On the way to Zugspitze, the largest peak in Germany. (Germany and Austria meet at the top.) This is on our drive there and shows how massive and beautiful they are from the towns below.
19 April 2016
Adam: The obligatory photo of a pack of Asian tourist in their natural habitat, if you watch very carefully and are extremely quiet you can observe their photographic prowess in action...absolutely magnificent. God I love nature it's just like national geographic. 📸
Adam: I'm not sure why but it appears to be illegal to use a washer and dryer in Europe after 9pm. Every AirBnB we've stayed at has very strict rules about this, must be a rather large fine LOL.
Adam: It was an awesome drive through the countryside to Schwangau, even though I was flying through at 180kph, there is definitely nothing like the Alps in the US, not better, but just dramatically different. We saw a black squirrel with these crazy long ear whiskers that didn't want his picture taken. Now for the Neuschwanstein castle tour (we did the Hohenschwangau castle first).
Alps!! First view!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
In Germany, the autobahn has "no speed limit" but every, what seems like, 10 mins or less is a posted sign to go some slower speed for any number of reasons: weather, construction, traffic jams, curvy roads, etc. what is cool is in the newer cars there is a sensor that updates the speed limit and displays it in the dash. I wish I would've had this in our last car. It might have saved me from the upcoming ticket I hope I don't receive in the mail. Only I would get a ticket in the freaking autobahn. Ugh... 🙄
Memory: when the Mercedes kept telling you to take a break because you'd been driving a long time!! 😆 (from Germany first time around)
18 April 2016
Adam: It's official...Germany has declared war on my stomach and they have easily beaten me into submission. Germany 1 - Adam 0.
Memory: when Adam got out of the car to get a frankfurter in Frankfurt - those Germans guys laughing at him with my coat on. Haha
See previous post 😀🍻
Adam: awesome thing about Germany #32765 - there is no possible way we could ever talk louder than the locals at any restaurant, regardless of how much we drink!
Pretzel freaking soup. Sooooo goood! Tasted like French onion with soft and crunchy pretzel croutons... The broth was straight buttery. ❤️ Hirschgarten in Munich. Said to be the largest beer garden in the world. Over 8,000 people can sit and get their drink on. I can't imagine what Oktoberfest is like here... I think we will have return and find out. 😁
Delivery trucks are assholes. They stop right in the middle of the road and hold up entire streets, intersections, taxi stands, buses. This guy held up an entire road for 20 minutes and went back to deliver more. We all had to drive down pedestrian streets to go around. Seriously, we have seen this multiple times here and they just sit and take it. If they tried that shit in America there would be a riot. Haha

Everything is either closed or closes ridiculously early in Sunday so dessert after our yummy Indian was at McDonalds. I love going to American restaurants oversees. Their food always looks better and in these instances held true. We ordered two McFlurries - one Milka, one Milka with Daim (chocolate and Carmel) and their version of the apple pie, made of chocolate and a cream/cherry filling. Oh, and we parked in their garage since there was no drive-thru. Oh... And...There is NO Parking anywhere in Munich so leave it to McDs to make sure we could get in. (No other stand alone stores we've seen have this so it isn't too common). Yeay 'Merica.
Adam: once again some awesome Indian food, in Germany, on a Sunday night, because everything else is closed lmfao
Munich: just saw a fat guy on a scooter with bumper sticker that said "no fat chicks." Turn the corner to see a dude in a tractor driving through downtown with his briefcase bungee corded to the back. What the hell is this place?
Ok, peace out Barcelona. I'll definitely be back. ❤️ Munich here we come. Please have my pretzels, streusel and bier ready upon arrival. Danke.
16 April 2016
Our last night in Barcelona we saw a Flamenco show... Or as I like to call it "Flamingo show". I was extremely disappointed there wasn't one stinking bird!! Not a ONE!!
Ok, so when I was little there was this little flamingo doll my grandmother had that I always played with when I went to her house. I forgot about it until we were watching the show. It was very surreal watching what I was so mesmerized with as a child. It was very intense and even Adam said jokingly it was like she was staring into his soul. I loved every moment of it. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Such a good show... I will remember it for the rest of my life. ❤️
Adam: Flamenco time, this place is only a block from our house and as we're walking down the for the show a random drum line breaks out. So now after dancing in the street with my baby, time for a romantic end to our evening and our stay in Barcelona. España we shall return!
Music in the streets everywhere...30 seconds after the drum line was this little concert going on in a little side alcove. Love this city.
Finishing up our dinner we hear some drums and at first think we'll that's annoying (typical American shit). Then I start getting into the beat and hear a crowd cheering. I step outside and see this drum line with people dancing in the streets. We followed them, dancing, down the street until we grabbed a gelato (they kept playing outside) and then dances our way to the flamenco show. How amazing is that? I will too remember this forever. I took some video I'll try and post later.
15 April 2016
Holy shit... I just saw a Burger King delivery guy.
Yorkshire Dave on Stag party, one of our favorite moments on the trip.
Adam: Only in Spain can you find a vending machine with baby food, sun block, ricola, and shaving cream...as well as five types of condoms and as well as a pair of vibrators!
Adam: Screw buying a bar in Wales, it's time to plant a stake in España. This my new local, there can be no doubt!
So we just discovered that there is no difference between when Adam vs I post to this app... So from here on out when Adam posts, he will put his name on it since I post more than he does. That way we can remember who said what. Ok, that is all... Carry on. 😉
Holy crap... We are three weeks in and as Shawn reminded us have EIGHT weeks more to go.... best. vacation. Ever.
Adam: And why might you ask is he keeping count? Because he is quite possibly the best PM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adam: I swear I've eaten more ham this week than I have eaten in my entire life....but so worth it!!!
14 April 2016
Before we forget - Portuguese hookers. Lmfao
Adam: Oh yeah those hoes were hard core...at midnight there were four of them hanging out at the ATM (I know right?!?!) but come 4:30 am, with horizontal rain and 40 degree temps, there was only one and her pimp, straight up hard core!
The Lime House - recommended by our Air BnB host. Amazing tapas but best of all I found my favorite drink ever: caipiroska. A vodka version on the caipirina....molt bé. 😉
Hung out by this fountain for a while. Rested my hand in the water to cool down and took in the sites... Spain is uh... Pretty freaking cool I must say.
Gothic Quarters, Barcelona. Everything is pretty everywhere, it's pretty disgusting.
We've been here two days in a row...this would definitely be our regular spot if we lived here. These freaking Piadinas are out of control.
When looking up stuff to do, we saw this Arc de Triomf and were like seriously?!?! We just saw this in Paris... How many triumphant arches can there be?!?! We are DEFINITELY not seeing that. As soon as we step out of the metro, BAM! Triumphant arch in our face. Well played arch...well played.
Back in Spain. 70 degrees and sunny!!! Feels like home.. 🤗
This is an extra large cappuccino.... This is happening in all of Europe. WTF? I'm a big ass American and I need my ridiculously large CAPPUCCINO !!! 😑 Gawh!
12 April 2016
Capela Das Almas ❤️
Adam: except for the fact that it took Tonya like ten minutes to get this picture because every tourist in the entire damn country kept stepping in front of the pic (said the other tourist).
First day we arrive at 5am, transfer trains and get into Porto a little after 6. We find his little cafe in the station, have coffee and a muffin, and get our crap together... For the next two days at least. ☺️
Adam: oh yeah and Tonya kept looking into his dreamy blue Portuguese eyes hahahahaha. 😉
Thank God for this cafe in the train station! Arriving in Porto way early, it had awesome muffins, cappuccino, free WiFi, bathrooms, comfy chairs, a nice barista with great English and the whole upstairs to ourselves!
Thank you in Portuguese is not gracias...
11 April 2016
Sleepy time train to Portugal. Adam and I each had our own room with our own bathroom. They each had two beds so... I'm not sure why they call this a single and they made us each buy one but... I'll take it.
Adam: Thank God, because my cabin was on the Fart Express, I was worried if I shuffled my feet on the carpet the train might have exploded!💩
Train from Paris to Irun, Spain. The view started off very much Ohio and 6 hours later it ended with California. Cool ride. I found out that me riding backwards, regardless of how smooth the ride was made me a little motion sick so I took two Dramamine and was knocked out hard for 5 of those 6 hours. ☺️
10 April 2016
We're leaving Disneyland and stop at the bathroom. Adam comes out and says to me "So... I whip it out right? A mosquito comes right in my face and I have to *makes blowing sounds*." I ask "Is that the first time that's happened to you?" He says, "yes!! If the skeeter would have landed on my peter, I would have had to whack it off!!!" 😂😂😂
Freedom Fries 🇺🇸
Adam: provided by our cheese eating surrender monkey friends on France!
Of course you ride Ratatouille in Disney Paris!!! It's a 3D ride that I actually really enjoyed and felt apart of the movie.
Adam: Hell yeah Ratpatootie!
No one drinks water. Only coffee and beer/wine with le cigarettes. This is applicable for all of Europe, thus far.
"Our movie" in action. 😉
Adam: I made sure I didn't close my eyes, I didn't fall asleep, cuz I'd miss you baby, and I wouldn't want miss a thing!
Everyone in Disney Paris smokes. Everyone.
Sleeping Beauty's Castle
Adam got his highest score ever and is very proud of it. Zurg didn't have a chance.
The best part about It's a Small World was seeing how America represented with cowboys, the Hollywood sign, the Statue of Liberty (of course lol), and football. 🏈
Space mountain!!! These are Adam's pics he took of the ride.
Le Space Mountain!! Happening now!!!
While in ride for Space Mountain Mission 2 Adam and I practice our Frenchy faces. Now that we are done riding the ride I can tell you that this was the BEST Space Mountain ride! Nothing will replace the original awesome that is Space Mountain but when we walked up and saw the pull-over harnesses (Adam has that pic) we didn't realize what we were in for. This newer ride had a loop, the corkscrew, and deep inverted turns. Such a fun ride!!! 😛🙃😆🤗
Le Winnie the Pooh with an unexpected nice pic of the castle in the back, Buzz Lightyear ride (exactly the same), and Small World (also exactly the same but newer).
The entrance to the Disneyland Park (as opposed to the Disney Movie Studio Park).
9 April 2016
One of the must do's for me was to smoke a fancy cigarette while drinking a cappuccino at a cafe. I didn't want Marlboro or something I could get at home. So I bought what I called "l'original" haha which was NOT the name. They're called Vouge which I was even happier and then I opened the pack to find these teeny tiny little Virginia Slim looking cigarettes. 😬 They actually tasted nice and smooth and I wasn't left feeling sick because they were so light. Then I turned the pack over to see a disgusting cancer lung and then turned it right back over! I gazed out of the window and watched Parisians walk through the rain.
So... I must say. These European cities are far more trusting than we are. Here, I saw people loading up their backpacks instead of using baskets. Then, when we went to pay we got strange looks because we didn't weigh our produce and write it on the brown paper bag (instead of our plastic ones). They don't have scales at the register!! Their payment methods are all chip and pin but...they don't have scales at the register. We did not eat fruit this evening. 😑
Grocery baskets with wheels are pretty darn handy. They have these everywhere. I haven't seen these in our bigger cities but maybe I've missed them.
Here we see the French encouraging their youth to not eat candy because it makes them very bad children. Good kids slather everything in Nutella.
Oh yes they did... And they were soft. ❤️
It's encouraging to see quality beer coming to the frogs.
American food located in the ethnic section between Asian and Latin American. Notice the multiple flavors of Marshmallow Fluff, candy and salad dressings because like said earlier "salad cream" is the standard. 😆
Ugh... They serve all salads with this atrocity. 😱
Here are the Lay's "crazy flavored" chips I found at the supermarket here in Paris. The last chips, Paprika, I also had in Amsterdam and are very good. They are similar to BBQ but less sweet. They're my favorite Lay's flavor now. I hope to find them in the states.
Outside our hotel. 😘
Our tiny elevator to our tiny room. Adam has an outside pic he'll upload later.
The only gas station I've seen in Paris. I only saw one in Amsterdam as well.
Apparently... In Paris, tissues are not sold in pharmacies. *sniff sniff*
The Catacombs of Paris: We walked for a solid 45 minutes completely surrounded by the remains of over 6 million people. It was incredible.
8 April 2016
Tuileries Garden is right outside of the Louvre. This couple was so cute I had to take a pic. This is also where a pigeon pooped on my leg while I ate an apple-filled pastry. 😑
Here is the long view to give perspective on how small the Mona Lisa is.
Homeboy copping a feel. This is in the same room as the Mona Lisa, ha!
Mona Lisa - I knew it was small but it was surreal seeing the famous painting in person and the large crowd surrounding it. I'm soooo glad it was a slow day at the Louvre.
The Winged Victory of Samothrace c.200-190 BC!! They found one of the hands about 60 years ago and it is displayed near the statue. Too bad I didn't see the hand (or know about it) while I was there!! 😮
A beautiful room in the Louvre. On the ceiling are paintings showing each of the 12 months and their astrological signs. Adam took pics of all our signs with the good camera. I have in here the December/Capricorn.
Ode de Corporate America.
Le pyramid. 😉 Also, we learned that if you go through one of the "secret" entrances such as the underground Carrousel de Lourve, there is no wait to get in. Never enter through the pyramid where lines are long. If you can, exit that way so you can easily get to the gardens.
A big fluffy cappuccino and the Louvre in the background.
How awesome is this bridge? It is directly across from the Grand Palace... So beautiful..
We got really lucky with the weather, it was on and off, but we got some great pics.
The sun came out while at the Eiffel so we laid down, took in the sites and snapped a bunch of goofy pics. It was very Ohio-like...shivering one moment and burning up the next. The last pics are our French faces smoking our cigarettes and calling each other bastards. 🗼 🇫🇷 🚬
7 April 2016
Lunch in a little bistro. I tried the croque monsieur... It was ok. The baguette and chèvre at the grocery store we ate later was amazing and a whole lot cheaper. I had planned on doing that but was tired and wanted to sit for this one. Eh, live and learn.
At the airport on the RIGHT day...off to Paris we go.
6 April 2016
After we got to the airport and realized we came a day early (we apparently had lost track of space and time lol) we decided to skip the AirBnB that night and use Marriott points to get a phat corner executive suite with a cleaner shower 👍🏻. I took a nap to sleep off the cold I caught from the "asthma" lady so Adam went to explore the city for a couple hours. He brought back McDonalds (ha) for a taste of home. The frugal Dutch skimped on the sauce. After we ate we were greeted with this beautiful rainbow that stretched all the way around. The second photo is of our first (technically second hotel due to rescheduling to stay out of Brussels at the last minute) that looks like two pyramids. We were the second pyramid on the left in the penthouse (top floor). I'm so glad we had an extra day to recoup.
5 April 2016
Amsterdam canals are pretty in place and pretty dirty in others.
The Dutch are hard core, they get the kids on the bike early...and out front
Coffee in Amsterdam.
Lunch staring at me while I eat it. 😊🍔🐄
The small Coke thing is wack...
4 April 2016
Drawbridge! 🤓 When they close, it does with a large boom like when they're shelling at Camp Pendleton. We heard it the night before (this is a block away from the apartment we rented.) and wondered what it was. Pretty cool.
3 April 2016
Tiny little cars for tiny little streets.
Canals in Amsterdam. Pretty... And not pretty at the same time. 😊 I'm going to check out the flower fields and downtown tomorrow and how it compares. It's an Interesting and weird place.
Winkel 43- famous for their apple pie gives Julian pie Company a run for their money. So good...
Amsterdam! View from our balcony. ❤️
2 April 2016
Essen smells like sauerkraut and pretzels when you first drive into town from the south 😊
Next to our elevator there is an automatic shoe shine machine. I tried it for a few seconds on our way to breakfast but need to try it again for longer. Seems promising...👞🎩
1 April 2016
A blooming tree watches over us as we walk "home". 🌳
Some pick me up pastries for our way home. Berliner doughnut , waffle with Nutella and banana, one cappuccino and one bier!
Shit is getting real...
Classic American rock and bier in Germany is tits
German beer tour
I have one bag for three months of outfits. No hair dryer, no hair straightener or leave-in conditioner... No facial masks.., only TWO pairs of shoes... This is what I pretty much look like everyday. If you don't see me in a picture for a few days... This is what I look like. All day errrry day. 😉 (Also, I like how skinny I look in this pic so I had to work it in somehow) 😁
German grub part two
Battle between Düsseldorf and Cologne Germany
Old town Düsseldorf
31 March 2016
Fresh water fountain in Luxemburg. Cold as a mutha...
Frites and curry wurst in Frankfurterfignewten.
It took 15 minutes to get out of this bitch of a parking spot. Wtf?!?!
After a night of drinking we look for frankfurters in Frankfurt and end up eating some bomb ass Turkish gyros that kicked future hangovers ass.
30 March 2016
Drinking German style. Tiny bar with a cute little old guy as the owner. He was so sweet!
Pay toilets with a turnstile are the norm at gas stations in Germany.
Driving through /eastern Netherlands and western Germany looks straight like Ohio. No joke. Lol
Breekenbrood and pancakes Dutch style
29 March 2016
Random: like wearing leggings? Move to London. It's required that every female own a pair and wear them everyday and everywhere. Bonus points for leather panels on the legs and patent, metallic, high top, wedge sneakers if you're over 40.
At Luton airport, an hour north of London, they don't announce gates until the plane is rolling in. 🙄 So...everyone stands around the terminal and dashes towards their gate all at once. Lol foreigners. 😉
Slammin' that local (Welsh) cider the barkeep gave us last night before we board our plane. Those chips were sooooo good. It's Kettle brand so I hope they come to the U.S. Yum!
Keep apart 2 chevrons please. 🚗<< 🚙. 💂🏻😆
Here are a few of the solar panels I've seen. How about a few wind turbines instead? I don't get it. 🤔
Solar panels on your roof? Why England? Why do I keep seeing them? Why?!?! 😆
After doing a load of laundry and mailing a few items home, we ate lunch at the Pony and Trap in Chew Magna. Our AirBnB host suggested the pub and it looked to be in a quaint little old town. Found out it was named the 2016's #5 best pub in all of jolly old England. We showed up not realizing that reservations were needed (I thought it would ha a hole in the wall) but they had two tables left since we showed up when they opened. The food is locally sourced in surrounding farms. The eggs were the best I've had. The chips...the ham....the cask ale... It was a great meal to leave on.
This is what driving here looks like. Hedge rows are all up in your face, rims, side mirrors...
28 March 2016
There is a Five Guys in Bristol. Ha!
Best pub ever. I only chose this place because it was a destination point on Google maps when trying to go to "Newport Beach" in South Wales. I thought I'd be funny to sunbathe there. Instead we stayed and threw back a few pints of lager at this family run pub with an awesome German Shepherd pub dog. She wore Adam out after a few tug of war battles and they quickly became best friends. She even tried to leave with us and run out the door! The owner gave us a bottle of cider on the house just because he wanted us to try what "good cider" tastes like. 😆❤️
Location: Portishead (like the band that Adam loves). The band is originally from Bristol (where we are staying ) and named their band after this town in Somerset. The coast is alongside the Bristol Channel and on the other side is South Wales. We watched the sunset and Jack Russels run around before we decided to head over to the other side and check out Wales.
Our scraped up tires from the sidewalks they use as streets. #fullcoverage
This is a 2 way road... 😳
Clifton Suspension Bridge. Site of the first modern bungee jump in 1979 by two Cambridge students lol. We just went because it was close by and Adam thought it looked cool. 😊 Very nice views were had as well as wind burn, and afternoon tea & cappuccino at a French brasserie (Côte). The server was from Budapest and gave recommendations on restaurants and places to go. Score. She had been to Los Angeles and thought it would be like the movies but she thought it was "quite dirty" and didn't like it. Yeah... It is dirty and no one likes it. LOL.
Random- most toilet seats are made of wood here. Kinda nice actually.
Half veggie, half Cajun chicken, full on garlic cheesy bites pizza. Appetizer - Alabama popcorn chicken. So good!! They had an old school salad bar which Adam scraped the bowl for extra bacon bits reminding him of childhood (Nina making him eat salad haha). Beer and wine, cappuccinos and lattes, soft serve bar, sparkling water... I mean seriously?! So cool. We talked to the waitress and she said it was funny we were so surprise since nobody ever says that about this place. The store is considered one of the low and stores because if you go into downtown they serve ribs and steaks!!!! What? What?!?! Oh and the staff are soooo nice. Although, I'm starting to wonder if they think we're mystery shoppers being that we are random Americans in a random part of town. Hahaha. Either way it's cool. 👍🏻
Easter Monday is also a bank holiday here and almost everything is still closed. The exception being a few large retailers and American fast food chains. Time to tour England's version of American fast food. First up. Pizza Hut.
Pizza Hut or Pizza Hanger? They take their Pizza Huts very seriously. What is it about other countries loving this place more than we do? China and UAE were the same way. Crazy
27 March 2016
For dinner we ate at the oldest house in Bath (year 1483) called Sally Lunn's, famous for the "Sally Lunn Bun". Cool place but not sure the buns were that special. Adam has more pics on his phone I think. I'll check later.
Avebury Stones is like Stonehenge but better. It's one of over 1100 Druid stone circles across the UK. There were two large circles (one I think it the largest in England) . It's bigger, free AND you can actually touch them. It was strange because there it's just a normal park so people were walking their dogs and letting them sniff and pee like we would in our parks at home. It was super cold, muddy and the wind was blowing so hard that it knocked some poor lady over. We stopped at the cafe and grabbed a tea and coffee to go. Our next stop was to get dinner in Bath.
Cool cloud pics for Alex. 😚
Salisbury Hill is a giant prehistoric mound created around 2300 BC. When we got there it poured so we hung in the car for 20 minutes eating our Easter candy and taking random selfies (OK I did) until it passed. We were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow and perfect weather for five solid minutes. 🤗
Stonehenge! Tip: you can't get close to it anymore. They charge about $25 a person to stand behind a fence. You have to walk forever to get to that fence from the parking lot. We did ourselves a favor and did it Lampoon style. We drove right by that bad boy and kept going to Avebury where you can actually touch them AND it's free.
Random pics of Highclere.
Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) was amazing!!! I'll have to fill in details later. Favorite part of trip so far. ❤️❤️❤️
For Easter Sunday we created our own Easter baskets for our drive out to the country. Adam' came with Red Bull. We love love love getting local treats. Here are a few we ate.
Driving on the other side of the road is scary.
Not sure what is up with all the sign language interpreters on TV. Do they not believe in closed captioning? Is it only for certain shows? The interpreters are so animated they actually become entertaining and I forget to watch the show. The signs for "tweet" and "terrorist" or "terrorism" were equally interesting oddly enough .Lol
26 March 2016
Last night in our London home. St. Ermins was a cool place to chill and nice location to burn Marriott points! Streets were safe and empty. Quiet due to being away from the night hotspots which is just what we needed after a long day of seeing the sites. Twice we went to bed before dinner and woke up hungry and raided the mini-bar (consisting of Cokes, Snickers, KitKats, Pringles and these "wine gums" which is their name for gummy candies). Easter weekend left only the dirty Chinese restaurants open after 2am. Lol adventure!
Also, you never know when a hidden ally will pop up with a pub or cute shop.. (Or tailor or a silversmith apparently) lol
One of the best things about London is walking around and some beautiful old building surprises you. Check out the door!! 😍
Leadenhall Market or as you may have seen it, Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter movies. 🤓 Being that it was Easter weekend, everything was closed (they take Easter very seriously) but just walking through was a good time.
The "Gherkin". 😊
Camden Market was so much bigger and had soooooo many different foods. Between the rain and crowds (not time mention two different purse snatchers that tried to pull open the zipper but were unsuccessful due to our PacSafe bad ass steel reinforced everything bags) we didn't take many pics. Adam actually has more I'll add later but I wanted to add these while I had a minute.
Two scuzzy backpackers kickin' it at the fancy hotel. Check out how proper Adam is...we just fit in so well. 😜
25 March 2016
Good Friday Fish and chips in London. Pretty freakin' cool. At Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Pub that has been around since 1538. Very cool place.
😂 Henry VIII and his wives Christmas ornaments!!
View of Tower Bridge from the White Tower in Tower of London. Amazing Yeomen Warder tour at the tower. These guys live at the Tower of London with their families and get locked up at 10pm, every single night. Cool fact: The Ceremony of the Keys has never missed a day in over 700 years, even through WW2. Only men of high rank, serving a minimum of 22 years of exemplary service with good conduct are eligible. They guard the Crown Jewels, watched over prisoners and are now mostly tour guides required to know 900 years of history. Impressive lot. 😁
Much of the city was completely empty due to Good Friday. Quiet, beautiful weather, winding cobble streets full of history... couldn't have been better.
St. Paul's Cathedral. They have an amazing choir service that... was not available today due to Easter activities but I may catch it tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
Beach life on the River Thames. Pronounced "Tems"... Dumb I know. 😜😉
Parliament Square: Westminster Abbey, Central Hall, Parliament Building and Big Ben. Beautiful spring day.
All of London in one pic. 😁
Westminster Cathedral. We walked through the Door of Mercy on Good Friday! Blessings!! ❤️
Our walk through Westminster to get breakfast... Apparently everything is closed over here for Good Friday so the only place open is... What? Back to the bucks. 👍🏻lol try again.
Lessons learned: wear contacts because wearing glasses in the rain sucks, use an umbrella to cut through the plebs (haha), wear gloves because 50 degrees feels like 30, and briefcase wankers are real. 🙄 Posh twats...
24 March 2016
First up after our long nap: nibbles of some amazing Indian food. Yup... That's a naan wrap. Naan. Wrap. ❤️🎉❤️🎉
Ahhh!! He's on the wrong side! Haha. Taking a black cab to the hotel. Super cool.
Waiting for Heathrow Express to take us to Paddington Station. Yup. That Paddington. Paddington Bear Station. Haha 🐻
23 March 2016
Yeah... Awesome douche picture, check. Champagne and PJs that actually say "first" are now the only kind of PJs I will wear. I am squeezing every last bit of those miles. 😎 #ihaveelevenmilesleftinmyaccount haha
🍾🍾🍾 And they gave us pajamas. Hahaha #ballers
Time for a nap. 😴💤
Totally sat in first class next to Bob Costas (saw him when leaving) otw to Phoenix! I may or may not have followed him to the bathroom, had Adam confirm this, and then stand like I was taking a his pic while waiting for the poor guy to emerge. #bobcostas #stalker
See this guy?! He's a total douche who won't stop obnoxious laughing. He's SO LOUD and just ordered a Diet Coke to crank himself up all the way to Phoenix. Baileys please help me. Help. Me.
At the Admirals Club...nice people and place but it needs more free shit. Where's my complimentary everything?!?! Gawh!! 💩
Checked in at John Wayne. Time for lunch! Wonder if this will tag me at my location? (Hobie's) Hmmm... Let's see
