Oh gosh, a hot waffle with caremal sauce!
We toured Bruges today. First we climbed 366 stairs to the top of the Belfry and took in some amazing views. We took a boat tour along the canals and then visited a couple of churches. The first church has a sculpture had Michael Angelo's Modonna and the second claimed to have Jesus' real blood in vile. Later we strolled the lovely streets in the old part of town. Bruges is a beautiful city!
Super delicious fries and mayo! And healthier salad!

We had lunch in Ypres before we departed to Bruges. Gorgeous town!
We visited the medical post of John McCrae. It was here that he wrote the famous WW1 poem called In Flanders Fields.
We visited the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in the world. It made me appreciate the sacrifices these people made for our freedom!
This is Hill 62 with the best preserve WW1 trenches!
