After I left Phoenix I took my time, and decided to take the scenic route to Flagstaff through Sedona. I was happy I did! I saw beautiful landscapes and ancient Indian cliff dwellings. I got caught in a thunderstorm in Sedona, but it was gorgeous and moved through quickly!
I forgot to start one of these earlier... I have already been here for 5 days, oops! So I will be backtracking a bit! I currently headed to Flagstaff and my route has looked something like this: DC - Tuscon - Gilbert - Pheonix - Sedona - Flagstaff

After my conference was over I stopped by the Desert Museum to kill some time before I headed towards Phoenix to have dinner with a friend. My favorite part was the bear of course! He put on quite the show for me. He was rolling around in the water playing with rocks and posing with his feet in the air 😂

I mentioned the lazy river, but I failed to mention the fountains.... Yes we know we are adults! Adults that like to have fun :)
Our closing party was held at Old Tucson. All I know is John Wayne filmed some movies here and it makes one hell of backdrop for a party! There was a casino, gun duels, Cowboys, bands, karaoke, and of course old-timey photos.
We are all yew-haw'd up and ready to party!
We were lucky enough to be around some hiking trails so every morning before my meetings started I trekked through the desert. There is something truly healing about it! We found an old stone house on one of our routes!

I started off in Tucson for an industry conference! We stayed at the JW Marriott. It was a beautiful property complete with a lazy river! It wasn't in town so we had great views of cacti and other wonderful things of Mother Nature.
