The Rivertrees Lodge has three types of monkeys that visit throughout the day. These are Black and White Colobus Monkies. They are the larges and hairiest of the three. They are about fifty feet up so it’s tough to get a good shot.
Four of us went on a coffee tour this morning, we started at a village and walked to/through a coffee farm. We saw the whole process from extracting the bean from the berry to roasting and serving. The area was beautiful and our guide was great. It's been an amazing trip so far and it's only day 3! Bobby has the rest of the photos.
We visited a fare trade coffee plantation with Samuel. We started with a walk through his small village and then past lush farms of bananas and carrots growing together. Finally we reached the coffee plantation it is not quit in season so the bushes were covered in green coffee beans. Here the beans are picked by hand and the cherry removed with an old German machine circa WWII. this family owned operation produces about 10 tones of premium coffee a year. It was good!☕️
