So good to be home!!! The kids did amazing on the drive and we stopped near home for a quick dinner. Everyone was super excited to see Freddie and the feeling was definitely mutual. I couldn't get him to be still for even half a second so that I could take a picture!
Halfway potty break!
We are all packed up and ready to head home. It's gonna be a looooong drive home, but hopefully everything goes smoothly and the kids are as patient as they were on our drive here!

Today was tons of fun and I'm going to miss Tio Roy and Tia Lavern soooo much, but we're excited to be heading home tomorrow. I'm looking forward to running in more mild temperatures and sleeping in past 5ish. And the kids can't wait to see Freddie and Levi. They are also already talking about seeing their Avó on Monday, joining our Moguel family for Tuesday night dinner, and telling their nanny all about our trip :). Praying that the drive home goes smoothly and quickly!
Then we walked to New York-New York. The Hershey store was pretty cool, especially the statue of liberty made out of twizzlers! Justin finally got to try Shake Shack for the first time, where he had lunch and the kids had frozen custard.
From Mandalay Bay, we took the tram to Excalibur. The kids both got a big kick out of going into the big "castle"
Mandalay Bay's Shark Reef. This was perfect for the kids!

We found an amazing deal for a 4 course dinner at Roy's so we decided to treat Tio Roy and Tia Lavern to an early dinner. The food was amazing! The kids got cute little chefs hats to decorate and wear, and the restaurant even wrote Logan and Layla in chocolate on their dessert plates. So cute!
We spent a good 4.5 hours at the neighborhood pool today. The kids had a blast and it was so nice to cool off a bit. Logan went down the water slides at least 50 times, and even raced daddy down them a few times. Logan is such a fish now and doing great with his swimming! Layla is a little more cautious, but even she had fun and gained some confidence in the water today. 🐟🐠🏊🏼

The kids are having to find creative ways to stay entertained since it's too hot to play outside here. This is definitely making me appreciate our mild San Jose weather!
It's pretty darn hot, so the kids are cooling off with bubbles and the hose in the backyard. A little cool water makes 111 degrees bearable :) ☀️🔥💦
A few more pictures from yesterday/today that Justin took....can you spot the "twin peaks" that Justin spotted and got a kick out of when we were on the boat today?? 😅
We drove about an hour and crossed into Arizona today. Tia and Tio Roy had planned a really fun activity for us. We drove past Hoover Dam and down to Willow Beach, on the Colorado river. We rented a pontoon boat and took a trip down the river. The canyon and rock formations were gorgeous. Unfortunately, right when we got to the area where we were going to dock, have a picnic lunch, and do a little swimming the boat broke down. After drifting for quite a while and struggling to get the radio to connect so that we could call for help (about an hour later), the boat finally revved up out of nowhere right as we were finishing our lunch. We sputtered back to the marina and cut our adventure a bit short. But the scenery was beautiful and it was a memorable trip nonetheless. The kids had fun and they were thrilled to see a big horn sheep on the side of the road as we were headed home.

LOVE the Bellagio fountains! The kids really liked the show too. We got to listen to "All that Jazz" from the movie Chicago. So fun!!!
We braved a mile walk in 106 degree heat to take the kids on a gondola ride at the Venetian. Then we had to wait in line for very pricey tickets and wait in line again for our turn. But, I gotta say, it was well worth it seeing the big smiles on their faces as we were serenaded on our 12 minute ride. These are the special moments I live for 💗💙
The Bellagio's atrium never disappoints. The kids loved it!

Made it to Tio Roy and Tia Lavern's house in Las Vegas at 10:15pm! The kids did great in the car and we can't wait to climb into bed :)
Passing through Tehachapi now and the kids are doing great. We're having our dinner in the car, which is a fun treat for them too. And we're surrounded by windmills!
100 miles down, lots more to go. Luckily the kids fell asleep quickly so we are getting a couple hours of peace (hopefully) before the whining begins :)
