Nice curb appeal this past several weeks...

Most of the tile has been installed. Need to wait for the linen cabinet to be installed before tile can be completed. Finishing touches will occur then too. Pretty cool niches built into our shower/tub area! Mirrors the trim around the window (long one) and trim around medicine cabinet (short square one).
Day 11: Tile Day! Prep work and the start!
Days 5 & 6 brought three different inspectors: electrical, plumbing, framing. Everything passed. 😊
Susan painted over the weekend before the "tile guys" arrived.

Plus let's not forget the water damaged living room ceiling. That got repaired and the entire ceiling re-skim coated. Note that nothing but the piano was left in the living room. It was completely enclosed in plastic (which the cats have found as great fun as the plastic is still hanging before they sand.)

Day 4: Electrical: From this (pic 1) to that (pic 2)! Welcome to the 21st century!

Day 2-3: plumbing and framing. New pipes!

Day 1: Demo Day! Yikes!! Found out we had concrete floors and twice the regular thickness for plaster walls. Two "favorite" quotes of the day: AM: "NO! Not that wall!" PM: As the cast iron tub was being hauled down our stairs: "Don't think for yourselves. Listen to me!"

The "Before" pictures. We just wanted hot water in the sink and no cracks in the floor. The cracks allowed water to seep through and appear on our living room ceiling.
