Of course, we HAD to go to Delirium Café. I mean, 100 beers on tap? That's a whole lot! Sadly, when we went there, their 100-tap beer was under repair. No photos 😭 Still, the atmosphere was pretty great! It smelled like beer just from the entrance, and the whole place had empty bottles of beer lining the walls. My friend tried out Kasteel. I asked for Delirium Noctum but apparently that was dark beer (the person on the tap let my friend taste some for free. She's got a penchant for dark beer and DN was too bitter even for her!) so she got me Delirium Tremens instead. And it was the best damn beer I've ever tasted. I haven't been drinking, and the first sip of beer I've had was in Amsterdam at the Heineken Experience. I thought I would never have a taste for beer until this baby came along! We were so tempted to bring the glasses with us, but ultimately decided not go. Such a pretty glass 😭😭😭 Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016

You'd have to be daft not to try waffles in Belgium. Especially if they look this good! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016
The Mannekin Pis! The story goes that a boy had climbed up on the walls and peed on their enemies, and they immortalized that hilariously brave moment! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016

Grand-Place of Brussels! This place is breathtaking! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016
Ruins nearby. No signs of what it used to be. Amazingly enough, it showed on my map (, really good offline map). Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016
One of the most beautiful churches I've ever been to! Notre-Dame de la Chapelle! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016
TOURIST TIP! This is a pretty good art installation that you can manipulate for a great photo! Seen near Skievelat and right outside the nearby church! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.20163
FOOD RECOMMENDATION AHEAD! While in Brussels, don't miss out in the amazing Belgian cuisine. And where better to eat local than SKIEVELAT, a cheap and local-approved-and-recommended restaurant? It was far from our previous starting point but the food was so worth it! Skievelat is on a corner going downhill to a church. Waiters speak English, so don't worry! I recommend getting their STROEMP, which is a garlic-y mush of mashed potatoes, served with sausage and salty porkchop slices (I think?). The balance between flavorful and bland is just too damn good! Hilarie got the beef, which is good too! (I just don't like sweet savory dishes, so biased post ahaha). Prices were around €10-€15 per dish and it was so worth it.

Had to go see the Belgian Centre for Comic Strip Art in Brussels! Of course, of course! Not only does this museum celebrate various comic books, but it also praises different artists and their styles. They also compare different comic books from around the world (mostly focusing on Western comic books, however, like Belgian, French, and American). Being a child at heart and a lover of both traditional and digital art, this was heaven! Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 04.03.2016

Hilarie's here! She's one of the three (me included) exchange students from my school here in France. She's currently studying in Angers and wanted to go north for a long weekend ahead. I toured her around Lille for a while with help from my classmate and Lille local, Adrien. We both loved the part of Vieux Lille the most! She stayed at my place for the night, and then the next morning was our train to Brussels! Lille, France 🇫🇷 03.03.2016
