Book lovers unite! If you are a bibliophile and find yourself in Paris, YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY GO TO SHAKESPEARE AND CO. BOOKSTORE. Most works are in english, and if you're into the Beat Generation like me, then you'll have a blast. Each book purchase is stamped with the Shakespeare & Co. inside, and has a complimentary bookmark. There are places you can leave a note about yourself in, like the cashier by the door, or small nooks and sitting areas on the second floor. There's an extension to the left of the building that sells rare first editions of books, and further to the left is the book cafΓ©, where you can also buy books. Uhm, more like #heaven!
We went to the Champs-Elysees just in time for the last two days of their Village de NΓΆel, or Christmas Village. Tons of people were selling and buying things like scarves, socks, cheese, and coats. Of course, with the temperature playing around 4-7 degrees Celsius, the stalls that were selling "vin chaud" (warm wine) were all the rage. We tried one that had been infused with strawberries, and immediately after the first sip I started feeling warm. Right beside the wine stalls was an escargot store, and naturally, we tried it. My friends didn't like it as much ("Poor snail!") but I liked it a lot! The escargot was cooked in a garlic-y oil and it was tangy and flavorful. Definitely would want to eat it again!
When we got to the Eiffel Tower from La MusΓ©e d'Orsay, it was well past 13h00 and the restaurant on the Eiffel wasn't taking any more people. So what we did was have a baguette sandwich on a bench right under the Eiffel Tower πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I felt the atmosphere in Paris was electric. People had places to go, things to do. And as a tourist, I felt an eerie calm to be the only one looking up and witnessing Paris and Parisians.
