Getting to the airport was certainly easy: A car was made available to us through APT. Got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Decided to buy some Scotch whiskey to share with our hosts in Katwijk aan zee. This was to prove problematic in Singapore due to the fact that the bags were not sealed, and Singapore recognises a 100ml limit for open, duty free liquids that can be carried on an aircraft. More on that later. Caught flight Singapore Airlines 222 out of Sydney at 1505 on Thursday, 15/09/2016. It was a Boeing 777 and we travelled in Business Class. Quite comfortable with passengers having their own pod. We were across the aisle from each other which, in hindsight, was good as it allowed us to still communicate whilst giving one of us a window seat.
