The sun had come out at last.Delphi is beautiful
We really enjoyed catching the sunset at the smaller but no less impressive sanctuary of Athena pronaios.

A flying visit to the Temple of Hephaistos in the Agora was spectacular!
Some wonderful pieces in the New Acropolis Museum! Highlights included the Kritios Boy, Moscophorus, Peplos Kore, face of Aphrodite and much more. What a fabulous modernist setting too!
After exploring the Erechtheion, we sought refuse from the ensuing storm in a gift shop...poor us!

We are settled into the lovely hotel and getting in some bedtime reading before our busy day tomorrow. Zzzz
A wonderful site at the southernmost tip of Attica; the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion. Did you know the columns have 16 flutes instead of 20 to prevent erosion from the sea?
A cheeky ice-cream stop to treat the girls for their brilliant behaviour.
A great first site at Thorikos, the location of Athens' silver mines. Classical poses overlooking the bay!
