After lunch we wandered until we got to the city market and carriage rides. We went on an hour carriage ride with Old South Carriage, our horses name was Jake. That was a lot of fun. After the carriage ride we got some delicious ice cream from Kilwins. We stopped and saw the grave of John C. Calhoun and stopped to check out the Dock Theater.
For lunch we made a reservation at Poogan’s Porch. It’s an old house converted into a restaurant. The food was delicious! I had an egg Benedict bbq sandwich with fries. Ben had shrimp and grits.
We spent the morning walking around beautiful Charleston. We walked through Rainbow Row on East Bay Street and then made our way over to Waterfront Park. At the park we saw a cruise ship, the Ravenel Bridge, and dolphins in the distance. We walked through the park and on down to the battery along the waterfront. It was all breathtaking. We want one of the houses along the battery when we’re rich.

Our very first experience eating food here in South Carolina was at Urban Cookhouse in Mt. Pleasant. It was to die for!!! SO delicious! This place is going to be hard to beat! I got a delicious chicken sandwich and fruit for my side with an amazing chocolate milkshake.
We spent our first evening enjoying the views Sullivan’s Island has to offer. We got to see the sun set and it was beautiful! We plan on living here someday.
Crossing the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. It is 2.5 miles long and very pretty!
