Sandie's tour through United Kingdom

22 September 2017

OUR last day hear Jordan stayed st the hotel.

21 September 2017

We went to Jordans to set up his room. He put up a Stark banner on his window. The room is very small , kinda like a cruise room but he has his own bathroom. We hung up some things in the closet and helped him get other stuff put away. His room is ready for occupancy.
Started off at the Marketplace. Vendors with everything from food and clothing to tools and flowers. Spent some time shopping and bought some gifts. Next, across the street to the mall for more shopping. Lunch back at the market. Cathy and I took a cab to the hotel while Tracy and Jordan went on to Jerrod's looking for school needs. Later on, the plan is to go to his dorm.

Will have to backtrack some later. ( see below ) . Arrived in Norwich for Jordans school. He will register tomorrow. This is a wonderful English town with lots of history. Googled more info about the University of East Anglia. It is Impressive. My very favorite thing is their motto. DO DIFFERENT. Thinks that's a wonderful attitude ! Had dinner at an Indian restaurant. Jordan decided he likes Indian food after all. Cathy is coming down with a cold or something and stayed at the hotel. Got her some medicine on the way home. Hope that helps.

Left the US on Sept. 11 th. Because of the hurricane, had to go through Salt Lake instead of Atlanta. Arrived a day early which was good Because it gave us some downtime. Began with a hop on hop off tour of London. From there to Buckingham Palace and the Queens gallery. Beautiful art the queen can see anytime she wants SOME HISTORY. It was a long exhausting day. DAY 2 Bus tour planned first so that we could see the city and where we wanted to go. Had a list we had prepared before leaving including ( and in no special order) , the British Museum, London Tower, Borough Marketplace, an English pub, scones, Paris, Canterbury, The London Tower first stop was Jordans first castle and he was fascinated. The British Museum was incredible and his favorite , so far. DAY 3. We have learned to negotiate the Underground very well. Have figured out how to get where we want.
Trip history but not necessarily in order because I can't seem to go back. Went to Canterbury on Sunday. It was just like I imagined. Old buildings, narrow streets, churches, lots of shops and a medieval feel. The Subway and McDonalds didn't take away from the feeling. We have to go back when we can spend at least two days. It was my favorite place. The next day! Paris. Took the Chunnel but fell asleep and missed the experience. Started with a bus tour, a river tour and the Louvre. It was a jam packed day. Paris is beautiful and more wonderful history.

The maps are clear and trains run on time. When it says 3:16, you can pretty much count on it. If there is occasionally a delay, they are very apologetic
