How did I get a free hotel? It was funny. I was not able to catch up my flight on February 14, 2015. I rebooked my flight for the next morning. February 15, 2015, I was too early at the airport and I was waiting for the check in to open. And then there was an announcement that the flight was delayed for 8 hrs. The airline offered a free hotel and free lunch.

Iced Coffee and Caramelized Bread on a Friday the 13th
A friend dropped me here in a coffee shop. She ordered me these food. Because I have to wait for her to finish at work before she drop me to MBK Mall to shop for souvenirs.
Caramelized Bread - this bread is just a normal sliced bread but it was toasted with condensed milk. It was too sweet.
Iced Coffee - a normal iced coffee but it was too sweet also.

Coconut pudding is a Thai snack, or I can consider this to be a dessert also because it is sweet. This sweet and creamy food is made of coconut fruit. I was able to taste this at Potalai Leisure Park
Potalai Leisure Park
This is one of Bangkok’s most expensive leisure parks.

Moving in to a New Place: Lat Phrao
After staying in Samphantawong, I moved here. This place is away from the center of Bangkok.

Most Thai meals are spicy. Seafood, pecking duck, vegetables and noodles are served spicy. If you dont like spicy, you can request and say “Mai ped naka” which means “not spicy please.” Most Thai meals are also not salty, which is good. Thai rice are being steamed and not cooked they way Filipinos do it.
For Thai snacks, most are too sweet.
River Cruise at River City
River Cruise is one of best places at night. A ticket costs 500 Baht per normal passenger. A passenger rides in a big boat where there’s dinner buffet and live band. The boat sails in Chao Phraya River from River City until it reaches King Rama VIII Bridge and then goes back to River City.

Crowd at Night
Bangkok gets more crowded and busier at night than in the morning. This photo (see uploaded photo) is outside MBK Mall. Clothing, footwear and different foods are being sold with marked down prices at this night.
Tuk-tuk is a three-wheeled vehicle. Aside from taxi, you can also ride tuk-tuk anywhere around Bangkok. But, becareful, most tuk-tuk drivers drive too fast. This kind of vehicle dont have any meters for the fare, so expect a higher fare than in taxi.
Wang Mai, Bangkok
This mall is in the center of Bangkok. A lot of tourists visit this mall because it has an area where you can buy cheap souvenirs like T-Shirts with elephant prints, scarves, figurines, keychains, Thai sweets, etc.
This part of the mall (see uploaded photo) is at the center where the photo of the King (top; man in pink) can be seen. This is taken while I riding the escalator.

First ride in a taxi - traffic in Bangkok is not that heavy. In this ride, I am on my way to MBK mall. Although I can walk because its a little bit near, I tried the taxi. Taxis in Bangkok have meters.
Baht - currency of Thailand. Paper bills: 1,000 Baht, 500 Baht, 200 Baht, 100 Baht, 50 Baht and 20 Baht; while coins: 10, 5, 2, 1, and cents. All of their paper bills and coins have their Kings image in it.
Thailand, the Land of White Elephants
I never thought Thailand would be the first country that I visited. Why? Because I never dreamt of travelling, I never imagined that I will be in a foreign country, I never thought of applying for a passport and I can’t afford flights (LOL).
Bangkok - the capital of Thailand
The sunrise (see uploaded photo) in Bangkok in its orange sky looks gorgeous at around 5 in the morning. This photo is taken at Bangkok Centre Hotel, 10th Floor.
