Philippines travel

5 March 2018

Boracay Island was amazing. The boat from Boracay took only 15 minutes. The sunset location was perfection. The colours in the sky were out of this world. We found a beach a short walk from our accommodation which had white sand and clear waters. We mainly chilled out on the beach for a few days but also went into the centre in the evening. We came across a lot of musicians and acoustic stands on the beach along with fire dancers and music. It was lively and a good experience.

Updating my journal with older posts in the wrong order but Panglao island was my favourite beach location in my travels to the Philippine’s. Having not had the chance to visit El Nido and Coron, this rises to the top. The sand was white and the water was pure. We had massages on the beach and relaxed for a few days exploring the island. We had scooters and found different locations to visit.

When we arrived in Philippines we took a 5 hr coach down to Oslob, near the centre. There was not a lot in Oslob at all, I wouldn’t recommend staying there. We had to drive 20 minutes to find a decent restaurant/ cafe. The next day I went swimming with the whale sharks. We arrived at 5:30/6am and even though it was busy with tourists, it was an incredible experience. I met a guy called Ray, who taught me some Filipino language (Tagalog dialogue) they have 2 languages (Filipino and English) but they have 3 different dialogues for the South, North and Central parts
