Phannou & Sinoun in Nearby Countries

10 May 2018

In the evening, we ventured down to Sentosa Island on foot via the Sentosa Boardwalk. It was a lovely green park. Then we walk to the beach and walked to the bridge that lead to the Southernmost point of Continental Asia. The beaches were so clean and the water was so blue, so I decided to stay there for a few hours. Monorail runs from VivoCity in the main Island to Sentosa totaling four stops. If we get on from Vivocity the ticket is SGD 4 but once inside Sentosa it's free and on the way back from Sentosa to the main Island is also free which is quite incredible.
There were many food including Malaysian, Muslim, Chinese and Singaporean. One of the best chicken rice in Singapore can be found here. They serve original and tradition Hainanese chicken rice, in small (S$3), medium (S$5), and large (S$7). I had a medium Hainanese chicken dish for S$5, and fresh sugarcane to drink (S$2).
We continued to the Botanical Gardens by MRT and it was absolutely beautiful, so many colours and what a relaxing place, I absolutely love it there. After a few hours we decided to head to the Maxwell Food Centre for lunch.
Day10 We ventured to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple that was close to my hotel. The temple is based on the Tang dynasty architectural style and built to house the tooth relic of the historical Buddha. There were so many buddhist visit and pay respect to the Buddha. Respectful attire is required when visiting the temple: avoid off-the-shoulder T-shirts, shorts, and mini-skirts.

As we were on the MRT Downtown Line, we stopped at Newton MRT Station Exit B and took a five minutes walk to the Newton Food Centre. At night this is an amazing place with great atmosphere and great seafood.

Day9 We arrived in Singapore (Changi Airport) at about lunch time and went to grab some food before we head to the city and could check in. We were planning to stay in Singapore for 3days/2nights, so we decided to buy 3Days Pass which offers us unlimited travel on Singapore’s basic bus services, MRT and LRT trains for the duration that it is valid. Singapore Tourist Pass S$20/S$26/S$30 • 1 – 3 Days Duration • Unlimited Rides* on Public Transport • Inclusive of S$10 Refundable Rental Deposit When we finally got in the room we were absolutely exhausted. But we didn’t want to waste the day so off we went for a little explore. We walked for about 250m to the Chinatown Complex and then next door we ventured around the corner.

Last but not least we visited the hindu temple built in a lake Ulun Danu Batran. We took some photos in front of the temple and in about 30 min we finished our visit there & get back to Kuta. Tomorrow, our journey continues. Next destination🇸🇬 Singapore, last destination.
The third stop on our trip was Tegallalang Rice Terrace. They are famous for their stunning view & they are so well maintained. The rice fields can be easily explored & enjoyed by a variety of tracks. We decided to enjoy the view w/ a coke & coconut from a restaurant cause it was too hot to go on a trekking. An hour later we moved on to the final destination of the day... Ulun Danu Beratan Temple.
Tirta Empul temple
Day8 I booked a car with driver from BaliCab website 2 weeks before. The driver arrived at our hotel at the given time and took us everywhere we wanted and was very informational! The service of BaliCab was great and very affordable at only 40 US dollars for a 10 hour day. We pay the driver in cash at the end of the day. He dropped us at our hotel after full day of site-seeing. In the pictures below is at Batuan temple.
When we stepped outside there were people everywhere hassling us to book their taxi with expensive price. Luckily I had done some research on taxi price btw airport and Kuta (My hotel location). I tried to bargain until I met an acceptable price. We stayed in Kuta at the hotel Satriya Cottages. Kuta is a touristy beach town and it is very busy.

Tonight we flew with Air Asia from KUL to Denpasar (Bali). Our flight is at 7:35pm but it departs 1hour30mn late and the journey was 3 hours arriving into Bali around 12 midnight.
Inside the Putra Mosque. Unfortunately, I lost my lovely sunglasses in here. 😰
Putra Mosque
Day7 We had a short stopover in Putrajaya so we caught a taxi for some attraction places in the city. We stopped at a nice mosques and Government buildings which were interesting and continued to Alamanda shopping mall, the biggest shopping centre in Putrajaya area. A lot of cloth shops and also a good place to hangout or dining.

6 May 2018

When we arrived KLIA 2 airport of Malaysia 🇲🇾, we took an express train to Putrajaya for 20minutes and had to take another GrabTaxi to get our home stay. Express Train btw KLIA2 - Putrajaya Station cost 9.2RM (2.3$). Taxi fare in city 2$-3$. We stayed in Hyve cyberjaya homestay, Putrajaya.
Our last destination was Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and planning to go inside the museum however it was shut for lunch and we were not waiting to go inside. So we decided to get back to hotel for checking out and continue our trip to Malaysia. We head to the airport 3h before the plane leaves because it takes around 30 to 40minutes to get to the airport by taxi, our flight is at 3:30pm and will be landing at 7:45pm (One hour ahead Hanoi).
Day6 It was our last day of trip in Vietnam. We went on city tour of Hanoi.

5 May 2018

Then we got back to the cruise again and take time to relax before joining a short of cooking class. After that, an early nice lunch was served. My experience with this A-Class cruise at Halong Bay was great. The staff very friendly and helpful, the food also delicious.
Day5 Today was the second day of the Ha Long Bay tour! After breakfast, we got to go through Surprising Cave.

4 May 2018

At that time, staff of the cruise turned the light off then they treated us very well with surprises of cake + present and sparkler. I would like to thank our tour guide Tom for making it special. Thanks for wonderful time. We enjoyed a lot.
In the evening, we had time to relax and enjoyed a pre-dinner drink on the sundeck and watched the beautiful of Halong Bay.
Spanish lady asked me to take photos of her and her friend then they took back for us.
My wife enjoyed kayaking.
Then we went kayaking. The water when kayaking around was beautiful.
The beach on the Ti Top island is one of the most organised in all of Halong Bay for tourists, with deck chairs, cool drinks, souvenirs, and fresh water showers available. You can swim or sunbathe, or spend some time relaxing in deck chair, sipping on a coconut and people watching. Ti Top was named after a visit of the famous Russian cosmonaut, Gherman Stepanovich Titov.
We went to the viewpoint which was gorgeous. If you’ve ever seen a picture of Halong Bay, probably it was taken from the top of Ti Top Island. While it is a steep climb of a few hundred steps to the observation deck on the summit of Ti Top moutain that reveals a panoramic view of Halong Bay - it is still definitely worth the effort. The 360° view is nothing short of breathtaking, which you can spend an hour or more at the summit viewing and photographing Halong Bay.
Day4 This morning we got picked up from our hotel in Hanoi to go on our 2 day/1 night Ha Long Bay cruise tour with a company called Stella Cruise. Our tour guide was amazing. We got there mid day with more than 10 people from different countries, Spain, France, Germany, England and others.

3 May 2018

We finally arrived in Hanoi City around 6pm. Hanoi at night – lots of music and the dancing was so cool. We walked around the town and got Hoàn Kiếm Lake. Later we went and ate dinner.
Preparing to Yangon international airport to flight to Hanoi, Vietnam 🇻🇳. We head to the airport 2h before the plane leaves, our flight is at 2:30pm and we landed at 4:55pm local time (Hanoi).
Day 3 This morning we have a free nice breakfast in the rooftop restaurant of the hotel.

2 May 2018

Next, we planned to visit Shwedagon which is 3km away from the lake. We thought we were going to walk there but as the sun has set and a taxi is 3000 Kyat =1.97$ so we took it! Shwedagon Pagoda houses 8 strands of Buddha's hair and other holy relics. Then straight to Chinatown for dinner.
We need to walk more about 2km to reach the Kandawgyi Lake. We were lucky enough to be staying over looking the Kandawgyi Park which is one of the two prominent lakes in Yangon, Kandawgyi Lake translates to “great royal lake” and was created during British colonial times.
After an hour walk from the hotel we find Yangon central railway station. Yangon is scary, when we get to the railway station some old people look like indian monk walked in and looks at us strangely. I really don't feel safe in this place. We finally had to leave.
We stopped at the Junction City shopping mall and had a window shopping 😀. After that we went to the local market, Bogyoke market to buy some homemade products. My wife bougth a traditional wrap-around skirts called “longyi”.
We stayed in hotel Grand United. The receiptionists are kind and friendly. Then went on a walking tour of the city after checking in the hotel.
Day2 We were ready to continue our trip to Yangon, Myanmar🇲🇲. After 1hour and 15mn flight from Bangkok, we arrived Yangon international airport at 11:10am. The time in Yangon is 30minutes behind Bangkok. Myanmar is weird. You know, when travelling by car, the driver sits on the right but the roads are the European way so you keep your right too, which makes it very dangerous to drive. Taxi to the central of city is 11000 Kyat =7.20$ (17Km)

1 May 2018

Time to eat again.!!! At night, the traffic at Yaowarat Road (Chinatown) is very bad. We got there by tuk-tuk ride. There are many foods and fruits on offer, as well as homemade ice-cream.
Then we got Golden Mount (Wat Saket) by meter taxi.
I love to visit Bangkok! The best city for street food, shopping, sightseeing, AND AND AND! It has one of the world's biggest street market selling anything you can imagine!
The hotel Bangkok City Inn is at a great location. It is very near to BigC shopping center. The breakfast buffet was good too.
After an hour flight from Cambodia, we arrived in Bangkok 🛬🇹🇭. Time for us to go to the city. 🚖 We had nice late lunch at McDonal’s in Central World. I enjoyed the crispy chicken. It was very good taste.
Day 1 Our trip started from Phnom Penh international airport🛫 to Don Moeung international airport (Thailand).
