Paul & Jen’s Trip to Vancouver

10 December 2018

We are at Black. It could be good but it’s way too loud. I know that sounds old and cranky, but really... it’s just too loud. We have to text each other to communicate and we’re sitting across from each other. So we’re off to find another option. The food was really good, and the service was attentive and friendly. I guess we’re just too old 😉

Red Racer Tap House, with Steph and Sarah (night 2). Spotted this “face” in the pipe behind Steph. 😊
We headed out for some much needed brunch. Our first choice had way too many people waiting, and it would have been at least an hour or two. Our second choice wanted us to wait in the rain for 20 to 30mins. So we tried a 3rd place (just because we had walked by it) and we got in right away. It was called Wildebeest, and it was delicious! We each a Benny with smashed potatoes. Paul: Pastrami Benny Jen: Crab Benny (a very fresh crab & shrimp salad) and mocktail made with cucumber, mint, lime and ginger beer. 😋

We had dinner and drinks with Steph and Sarah at The Alibi Room. We stayed later than we should have but we were having such a great time.
Complimentary robes are a nice touch. Look, I’m wearing white! 😮
We had some afternoon drinks and a snack at Library Square Public House. We had a good time and could have stayed all evening.
The mezzanine has a fitness centre and this is the adjoining women’s room. Very comfortable!
Nice room, we have zero complaints. Comfortable with all the amenities we need.
Landed safely. Looks like rain the whole time we are here. At least it’s not as cold.
