Zapata Falls- a waterfall located in the San Luis Valley near the base of the Sangre de Cristina Mountains. The Falls had a drop of 30- feet. Access to this waterfall entails a mildly steep hike & requires finding the stream & climbing rocks to view the falls.
Pikes Peak- the highest summit of the Southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The summit of 14,115 feet, is higher than any point in the United Stated east of its longitude.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings- The Anasazi lived & roamed the 'Four Corners' area of the Southwestern United States from 1200 B.C. To A.D. 1300. The Manitou Cliff Dwellings were built at their present location in the early 1900's, as a museum, preserve, & tourist attraction.
The Royal Gorge Bridge is one of the worlds highest suspension bridges. Built in 1929, it stretches 1,270 feet across & soars 956 feet above the Arkansas River.
