The Chapel is 88m long and King Henry VI wanted it to be the most impressive Chapel in either Oxford or Cambridge. The Chapel was actually build in three different building periods. The actual plan for building a conventional lierne vault was discarded and the stunning fan vault they build instead is the largest vault of it's kind in the world and was completed btw 1512-1515. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
King's College was stunning, especially the Chapel cause everything else was pretty much private. The young king Henry VI laid the foundation stone of this College. King's College and Eton College were to admit a max of 70 scholars drawn from poor backgrounds.
It's amazing how many well known people studied at Cambridge University that consist of about 31 colleges across the whole city. To list some: Stephen Hawking, Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Oppenheimer and also the university can be considered the birthplace of the computer, with mathematicians like Babbage, Alan Turing and Maurice Wilkes. 😦😳
Different places, churches, colleges on our walk around Cambridge
On our way to Cambridge by train!

WOW - What a dinner! Somehow we found this place and got a table. It's called Sticks N Sushi. Even the menu was amazing with perfect food photography. The food was amazing and the prices are fair πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Today we walked 17km again πŸ‘Ÿ The evening walk at Jubilee Walkway along Thames River was amazing ✨
Tamys house and room ❀ Today I checked out of my Airbnb and moved over for 2 nights in Tamaras room 😍
We had a stroll through Greenwich Park and walked up to Royal Observatory. The view is amazing!
Peyton and Byrne - yummy
Greenwich Market was really nice! It's only open on weekends and has some great crafty shops & good food. There are talented people selling all kinds of stuff from jewelry to prints or soaps πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Of course we couldn't resist & bought something πŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆ

Walked a lot - 17km. πŸ‘Ÿ
In the evening we went to a super comfy and nice looking Pub and had beer 🍺 I forgot to take a pic of this awesome place πŸ™„ We met some of Tamaras colleagues from Bluebolt cause it's right around the corner. Really nice people, amazing life stories. One of them even had our app 😱 - we talked a lot about startups and then I found out that she actually knows journi 😎 Afterwards we headed to a Mexican Bar (right across the street) and ordered some food and our last drink. Hui
Kensington Palace, the Orangerie and the gardens are beautiful - I wonder how it looks in summer.
I decided to stay a while at Round Pond and watch the sun going down. Had some fun with all those cute Swans πŸ˜πŸ¦†
Italian Garden is beautiful 😍
I walked down Oxford street and ended up in Hyde Park 😊 so I decided to keep on walking through the whole park.
Selfridges - had to take a quick look inside 😜
Buckingham Palace - I found a unicorn - how cool is that? πŸ¦„
Having a coffee and a sandwich in St. James's Park in the sun 🌞
Westminster Abbey
Watching Big Ben, Palace of Westminster and London Eye - and a bunch of people that are super stressed just to get the perfect shot. πŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆ
Tower Bridge and me - a love story.
Tower of London
Such a great weather - happy me is exploring the City today! Walking around a lot, seeing all the well known spots, enjoying the sun 🌞😍 It's still cold, I think I'm the only one wearing gloves πŸ˜‚

23 February 2017

Perfect foodie evening! We had a table in Carnaby street in a really nice and cozy restaurant called Whyte & Brown. Casual chicken and egg-focused - that's what they are! I had a perfect chicken with greek sides πŸ‘ŒπŸ» A bottle Shiraz kept us also happy 🍷😊
Apple shop in Regent street 😳 wow. Nice architecture. The staircase was amazing - the handles where made of carved stone πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Oxford Circus Rush hour is really insane here 😳 I've never seen such a big crowd of people waiting to enter the tube station 😧 there was a πŸ‡ of people for about an hour - crazy...
By the way: the storm even has a name, DORIS! Parts of Scotland are awaiting 15cm of snow and public transport has stopped in some parts of England 🌬πŸŒͺ Doris also knocks scooters down - have seen many lying on my way 😳
The meeting was great! I learned a lot. Precision is a digital only printer, more on the commercial print side and they have 3 locations in London. The one I visited today is for digital and offset print where they make all their books, magazines etc with 120 employees. They offer a huge variety of papers. Maximum Hardcover Books they could produce is 2500 a day.
Walked to the Jubilee Line. To catch my tube and my private driver from Barking 😜. The storm is really crazy but the sun was just perfect!
Had a great breakfast in my Airbnb πŸ₯‘πŸ‹πŸπŸ‡ The weather is going crazy - there is a storm and then there was heavy rain and all of a sudden sun again πŸ™„ Now I'm off for my meeting outside London.

22 February 2017

Lovely evening at Mexican restaurant Wahaca with Tamara! Nice food, great atmosphere and tasty cocktails in middle of fancy skyscrapers πŸ— in financial district Canary Wharf. Really enjoyed to see Tamy again that explains my huge smile πŸ˜‚ Afterwards we hade a nice walk home.
Found my perfectly organized Airbnb home and host Mary! I got a nice room with private bathroom in a shared Airbnb house. It's a 2min walk from the DLR station Crossharbour. The cushions are fluffy, I have a hairdryer and wifi, a well equipped kitchen and everything is clean - what else to wish for πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Victoria Station and Tube craziness. Thanks god google works wonderful in offline modeπŸ‘ŒπŸ»...still had an oyster card and just uploaded some money πŸš‡ It's really a huge city compared to our tiny structured Vienna.
Flight was ok. 2min ride from north to south Terminal with a shuttle train. I booked the Gatwick Express train online which takes 30min to Victoria station.
Already boarded - I even got a window seat on this cheap easyJet flight. 😎 The airplane is fully booked to the last seat πŸ™Š
