On our first day in Barcelona a bus picked us up and took us to La Sagrada Familia. This is a cathedral that was designed by Gaudi and is still under construction. We met our guide Raul who took us on a your of the outside of the building. Then we boarded the bus and headed to Park Guell. It overlooks the city and has the most whimsical designs and mosaics. It was like a fairy tale. After that we enjoyed a tour of the city by bus. We saw the Olympic stadium and other sites. The afternoon was free time but I had to go to the police station. Luckily I was able to get my police report for my stolen wallet and still make it to the Flamenco show!! The Flamenco dance was beautiful and so intense. Afterwards we had dinner at a really cool fresh buffet! Best dinner of the tour so far.

We left our hotel outside of Nice, France and travelled by bus to Arles, France on Saturday. When we got there they were having a market in the town center. We walked through the market to get to the city center. At some point I was pick pocketed and lost my wallet, credit cards, money and passport. It was a terrible time and I didn't get to enjoy any of that city. Afterwards we moved on to Pont du Gard which is an Ancient Roman aqueduct. It was built around 40-60 A.D. It was amazing to see! From there we arrived in our final destination...Barcelona!!

Nice, France is a great city on the sea. We had a tour of the old city with Francesca then we went to lunch with Janet and Peyton Sims. We had lunch salads, pizza and pasta. Delicious! After lunch we shopped and purchased local art work.
Once we left Monaco it was off to Nice, France. The first stop was the village of Saint Paul de Vence. It has been home to many famous artists...Renoir, Monet, Chagall, Etc. It was breathtaking in its beauty. We had a guided tour of the area then spent the remainder of the time shopping. I bought a bottle of Limoncello.

We left The hotel in Italy and travelled three hours to Monaco. Monaco is the most beautiful and clean country I've ever visited. Once in Monaco we visited the Palace and walked around the streets. Becky, Mark and I had lunch with Janet and Peyton Sims at a local restaurant. We had the most amazing pizza and pasta with sparkling water.

We took the train from La Spezia into Cinque Terre National Park. The first village we visited was Vernazza followed by Monterosso. Becky and I enjoyed a piece of Cheese Fococcia Bread and Cafe Americano in a local cafe. Then we purchased a set of prints of the five different villages from a local street artist.
