18 August 2017

Day 6: Melody went for a haircut, and Ms. Wang did a good job. Then we went to try dumplings and noodles recommended by Mark Weins. The noodles were indeed quite good, but I do not care for the cumin lamb. We got bakeries from Iris and Fayda, as well as my dad's bday cake. After shopping at burlington, we ate pizza from D' Angelo's. It was delicious! Mom cooked dinner for us, and we also tried gu shine's 3 cup chicken- it was quite good. I spent the rest of the day resting and packing

Then we ordered a variety of jasmine tea from our favorite tea shop Panda Cafe and chilled for a while. Then I went to Flushing and ordered Stinky Tofu and 3 cup Chicken from Gu Shine. I also finally found dong ding oolong tea at Hong Kong supermarket. For dinner we went to Imperial palace and ate Peking Duck and Crab sticky rice. The Peking Duck was absolutely delicious, and the rice was pretty good as well. Lastly we went to Kulu desserts and ordered a red glutinous rice with coconut juice.

Day 1: we left around 10am for Time Square, and had a great time soaking in the atmosphere. I ate some hot dog and pretzels, and walked to Hillsong Church for the 12:30 service. The worship was good, and the message was about getting the Word in you to fight the war within, and also that God will never give up on us. Then we proceeded to Madison Square Park to eat at The original Shake Shack. OMG the shack burger was soooo good, and so were the fries and the shakes. We then walked pass the flat iron building and ate lobster roll at Luke's Lobster. It was soooo tasty and buttery! Then we ate at a ramen joint, and Philip really like the spicy miso ramen with Oxtail. We walked through Little Italy and arrived at Eggloo, and had some egg waffles with ice cream.
