It is used to be a dormitory for children taking their first communion who were required to stay at the Escuela the night before taking the Holy Communion.
Patrocinio de Maria Church
Built in 1783, but during Fr. Froilan Bermejo's tenure, the church complex underwent expansion of 1808. Made of coral stones and hard wood. The roof made of clay tiles. Twenty-six pilasters support the walls.
The retablos are glided with gold dust. The choir loft sports intricate and fine tracery railings. The ceiling paintings are said to be 80 years old painted by Miguel Villareal, a native Boljoon.
El Gran Baluarte
The blockhouse is believed to have been built by Fr. Julian Bermejo on 1808 and is the main fortress on the church complex's fortification. This stone structure is a large quadrangular house made of coral stonewalls and tile roofs.
