Washington DC college tour


17 June 2017

Good day, starting with lunch and a visit to a used book store that we happened to find. Then the natural history museum and the Hirschorn art museum. Then we rode the circulator red line to see the last few monuments- Korea and Vietnam veterans and Jefferson. Finally dinner at the pizza restaurant by the apartment.

Georgetown university tour. At first I felt like I was at Hogwarts. Beautiful campus.

Enjoyed our moonlight tour of monuments.
Walked over to the west side of the Capitol.
This s bird tried to eat Grant's shoelaces.
National Zoo. It's amazing that this place has free admission.

Dinner at union station
First college tour- two campuses. First we saw the Mt Vernon campus and now the main campus at Foggy Bottom.
Lunch at 7th hill pizza across the street from the apartment.

After dinner we headed back and stopped for ice cream in Georgetown.
Visited the American history museum and the national gallery. Enjoyed seeing some of my favorite paintings.
Aye at the Russian restaurant that Sarah O'Connell recommended. Yummy! I had the stuffed cabbage.
Started the morning with a walk across the street to get coffee at Starbucks. Now we are on the bus towards the national mall.

All cozy in our basement apartment in the Palisades. Got the car parked behind the building, got our bus and metro passes and some Chinese food for dinner.
