Some how the weather is entirely different on this side of the bridge! No fog and beautiful, long await d sunshine !
Luke looking very special riding his bike ... not sure why both of his knees are up at the same time but he seems to be loving life ...
Hired bikes to cycle over the Golden Gate Bridge! Made even more exciting by the fact that up until this point it's been too foggy to even see the bridge !! Thank goodness for a break in the weather !

Met a Mexican guy in one of the dive bars who was trying to start up a 'fusion' restaurant...
"Fusion- French and Mexican... and bananas!"
Luke ordered far too much food!!! But it was all soooo good! They did a hash brown thing with rosemary mmmmmmm! When Luke went to the loo I took a sneaky bite of his tuna melt 👌🏼😋
The painted ladies... famous for some reason ? Not sure why but took a photo just in case 🙃
Hiked up to the top of Twin Peaks. We heard the views are excellent when you can see them.... 🌫
We went in search of treasure and explored the thrift shops of outer San Francisco. On the way, we ran into some trendy neighbourhoods but also got a sense of the poverty that exists in the background of the city.

Tremendous views of the Golden Gate Bridge... look harder 👀!
Found out why they call it Fog City!
Mmmmmm Peanut Buttercup Cheese Cake!!
After walking non-stop for 6 hours Luke asked to sit down (again !) We "noodled" about the shops for a bit - Fillmore and Webster st looked like they had some cool bars. Luckily after scouting out Polk St we jumped on one of the famous trams and sped off towards what we hoped was Union Square!
Day 2: Making the most of the jet lag getting lost in San Francisco down town at 7:30am ! Little did we know that Mama's was just around the corner and the queue was growing fast than you can say scrambled eggs! But an hours wait for breakfast was more than worth it and we got to meet two really nice guys on their holidays from Idaho! (Who knew Americans loved Adele so much?!?!)

Day 1: Got there!! And after being awake for 24hours I couldn't get quite as excited as Luke about the hire car upgrade... 😱
Dinner at Fisherman's Wharf. Pier 39 was super busy and touristy but managed to find a hidden gem with a table overlooking Alcatraz.
Luke is LOVING driving the Mustang even with heavy eyes! Finally got back to our Air BnB and then passed out! Breakfast here doesn't look promising...
Quote of the day- Luke :"Everything's super sized out here look how huge those seagulls are..." (they were pelicans flying in the distance 🤔)

Trying to look sophisticated.... managed to spill half my prosecco (probably equating to £11) moments after these pictures! #classy
The most important meal of the day!! Can't wait to get fat in America 🍔🍟🍕🥙🍗🥞
Up at ridiculous o'clock (crack of a sparrow fart)! At the airport in perfect time (3 hours before the flight 😜) - Luke would rather be running to the departure lounge than be early.
