Lou & clement in Rome, Italy

18 February 2017

We had not a big budget, so we bought things at the supermarket and made or own sandwiches, it was easier like that. Restaurants are really expensive in Rome, but we found an excellent restaurant where you could eat a big big big plate of gniocchi al pesto for 8€, I will try to find the name of the restaurant
We came from Catania in Sicily so the flight was not so expensive, we arrived to a train station and then we arrived in Rome, be careful cause there are a lot of pickpockets. We had a 🔒 on our backpacks, so it was not necessary to check everything all the time. We did almost everything without using transports but there are a lot of bus stations...
On the first day we went to the Colosseum, be careful cause it's crowded, come early in the morning if you don't want to wait forever! We also visited the Villa borghese and all the little park, we saw the trevi's fountain..the palatin, the forum.. be careful if you want to go to the Vatican, you must have your knees and shoulders covered ! As you can see I forgot something for my knees so I had to bought something, don't forget cause those horrible things are really expensive 😒
We slept in a cute hotel "Virgilio"at 10minutes from the colosseum! It was close to everything ! It was really cheap compared to the quality!
After a trip in Sicily, we moved to The capital : Rome, it was Amazing ! Clément went there like 3years before but It was the first time for me ! We stayed there for 4day! Be careful with the shoes you bring, because at the end of the day your feet will be totally destroyed !
