A closer look at trulli houses and we went inside one that was used until 1988 with 15 people living inside! There was a second storey for the kids to sleep upstairs.
Locorotundo where we ended the walk, a town like a maze of alley ways. There were photos on the outsides of houses and one old lady stands there to watch tourists!! She took off her dirty apron for a photo!
Walking 13 km, or 24000 steps stopping for picnic, then ice cream or coffee.

Pulling our wheeled cases over these smooth but very bumpy stones, and several flights of steps to reach hotel was challenging!
Day 1: Gatwick to Bari was a 3 hour flight. Arrived to a beautiful day in puglia.
Our cave bedroom! All the sassi area architecture is negative which means it's been dug out of the cliff.
