Our last evening -- Zoe & I visited the Meow Emporium to drink hot chocolate & play with cats. There is a cat in each basket in the 2nd picture.
Seattle shoreline as we head back from Bainbridge Island. We visited a wonderful antique shop where the store owners shared stories about their birds who had eggs & the store dog.
Into the belly of the ferry. We are the first car on.
And there's the ferry that we just missed . . .

Dessert in Bellevue -- the ritzy district -- at Cheesecake Factory.
This was the bus ride back to the flat.
We finally located food trucks for lunch. A busker was playing an electronic violin & the kids found a fooseball table in Occidental Park.
Two of us needed refreshments after the Klondike Gold Rush Museum.
Riding the bus downtown.

The original Starbucks & fish at the market. We watched them throw fish while yelling & then they dropped one on the dirty cement floor. All action came to a halt & the fish was hurriedly tucked away. Oops.
The Pig at one of the entrances to Pike Place Market & pizza by the slice.
A rainy walk to a neighborhood cafe for breakfast.

The kids & Robert visited the zoo, while I attended the National Summer Learning Association Conference.

Iconic Seattle -- we couldn't get any closer than this.
A great tour at Treehouse Point!
Trillium is being used to create a code for treehouses in King County. The Burl is the newest treehouse & was the honeymoon treehouse on the final episode of Season 1 in 2013.
Visiting Treehouse Point -- where's Pete Nelson???

The Fremont Troll -- very impressive!
Waiting for food at Roxy's Diner in Fremont.
A market moment.
This is the car that the guys want to drive around Seattle.
Note to traveling self -- zip car.com. Rent a car, or share a car for an hour, to run errands, or for day trips. Might be the way to travel when visiting cities.

We rode a monorail, we Ubered, & finally 13 hours after we woke up, we are eating our first meal of the day.
Riley took this out the window just before we started to descend.
So, this just happened . . . A flight cross country. Seattle here we come!
