Feel like we need a million posts to describe all the amazing things in the Galapagos but think the pictures show it much more. Sooo many beautiful animals and crazy looking creatures. We had a couple of days on Santa Cruz where we visited the Darwin research centre, kayaked around the Itabaca canal and did our first bit of snorkelling where we saw lots of fish, marine iguanas, sea turtles, pelicans and blue footed boobies. Next stop was Floreana where we spent a couple of days exploring the highlands and lots more snorkelling. The last island we visited was Isabela, where we walked up to the top of Sierra Negra which is the largest active volcano crater in the world. We did a bike ride where we saw lots more giant tortoises and some flamingos. On the last day we did a snorkelling excursion where we swam with white tipped reef sharks, sea turtles, giant manta rays and a sea horse. We also saw the los tunelos, which was formed by the sea eroding and revealing the lava tunnels.

First few days in Quito we visited the old town, lots of churches including St Francis, Basilica del voto nacional, Inglasia de la Compania de Jesus, a beer stop at Independence square and we saw the statue of the Virgin Mary which stood atop panecillo which looks over the city. We also visited the middle of the world 🌎 which was so cool, we stood with one foot on each side of the equator and dressed up like idiots!
