We traveled by train to Salzburg. It was the most beautiful train ride that I have taken. Salzburg was a bit rainy, but we walked around in the afternoon. We saw the Mirabel gardens, Mozart's birthplace and the Cathedral.

Our Zurich friends picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Lucerne. We stopped at a famous chocolate shop, walked across the wooden bridge and saw the wounded lion sculpture.

We traveled by train from Rome to Zurich. After being delivered to our hotel by our friend Arlene, we met our friends, Amy and Kyle. We had dinner at a traditional Swiss restaurant.

29 September 2017

In spite of our idea to just see the Parthenon, we put in a few miles and saw many wonderful things. The basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Parthenon, the basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere and the Vittorio Emanuelle II monument were a few of the things that we saw. Oh well, we will rest on the train to Zurich.

27 September 2017

Today was a "down day". This morning, we took a walk over to the fishing village of Marina Grande, the historical entrance to Sorrento during Roman times. 26 September 2017

We took a bus tour to the Amalfi coast; Positano, Amalfi & Ravello. Extremely beautiful, but it would be a tough place to live unless you were very wealthy.

25 September 2017
