Our NYC Apartment!
Here are some pics of our Apartment - 546, 142nd St, Harlem. Was a beautiful clean apartment! These photos were taken once the apartment had been cleaned at the end of the trip as we forgot to take pics at the start!
Last minute sightseeing!
We only had a very short time before the trip back to JFK so we decided to take a detour to Grand Central Station. Was really gorgeous! Went from there back to our apartment to collect our cases.
We went shopping in Macy's for our last morning! We both bought swanky new watches and I also bought 2 pairs of Levi's! 9 floors of amazing departments! Could have def stayed in there all day!

Yummy cocktails on our last night in NYC! Went to Nizza near Times Square for a lovely dinner and drinks! Xxx
We visited the Statue of Liberty by water taxi. We didn't go right up to it but definitely close enough to get some great photos! It was really hot on the boat and so was a lovely afternoon! Tour guide was very funny!!
Merl with the famous golden bill that has been in loads of films!
This morning we visited the 9/11 museum. It was incredibly moving and very sad. It didn't reel right taking any photos of the inside except this first one. A memorial wall. Each small role represents someone who died and is a unique shade of blue from the next.
The other photos are the tower from the outside, as well as the memory pool area. It was so calm and hard to believe that where we stood in the sunshine, was the scene of such tragedy and devastation. I cried all the way round the museum as did many others. I'm glad we visited but it was so very sad...

We visited the Empire State Building at night and went up to the 83rd floor observatory. Was amazing to see NYC by night! Loads of lights below and amazing views from the top! Loads of fun, if a LOT of queueing! Xxx
Today we went on an open top bus tour which was hop on and hop off. We saw some lovely sights and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge which was great!
The High Line.
A railroad built up high in the 1800's for industrial trains to avoid the ground level. But it never took off! Went all overgrown and then it was restored a few years ago, rather than being demolished! Now it makes for a nice walk 😊😊 lovely on a hot day and with lovely views too.
Fab! Took the open top bus to the stop and then walked across the bridge. Was so hot!
But really lovely. Was a lot shorter than I expected! Could see the Statue of Liberty from there, people on helicopter rides and water taxis!
A first for me! A PROPER GF muffin! Date and walnut! From a lovely place called Grey Dog. Very popular and very nice.
Some views from the open top bus tour! The funny shaped one is apparently the most photographed building in NYC!

Today we just started to get our bearings! We picked up our metro cards and New York passes. Then used them to get into Madame Tussaud's. Spent a good hour there taking some great selfies!

More fun at Madame Tussaud's!!

Getting ready for our flight from Heathrow to NYC!
Was delayed by an hour due to the plane needing a wheel change?!
