On our last day in Florence, we started our day off by climbing over 400 stairs up the Bell Tower (we were the first ones to the top and made it up in under 10 minutes!) then another 463 stairs to the top of the Duomo. The views of the city from both are amazing! One of my favorite things about Florence is that all of the houses have the same roofs and are all the same color scheme. Then we walked about 30 minutes outside of town to go to the Stibbert Museum. It's a huge collection of armor and weapons from all over the world. It was quite impressive! Ate our last pizza dinner and then traveled to the airport in Venice and spent the night there. We are about to board the first of 3 flights home and are counting down the hours!!!

Today we had to get up SUPER early for our day trip to Pisa and Cinque Terre. Pisa was actually really fun despite my preconcieved notions that it would be a little over rated. We climbed up to the top of the leaning tower and you could totally feel the lean as we went around the tower. Super crazy feeling. Of course we had to take the obligatory tourist pictures there. We rode around on the trains to visit 3 of the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre (five towns in italian), or as they have come to be known "the Pinterest Villages". We went to Riomagiorre, Manarola, and Vernazza. I loved them all. I just really wish we had time to get in the water because it was gorgeous! So happy to have checked those off the bucket list!

Oh Florence, it's so good to be back! Mom said I had to keep the post G rated today so I will spare you the statues we saw. However, I will say, I loved seeing the David again after seeing so many other statues on our trip go compare him to, not over rated! We also loved seeing other statues by Michelangelo known as his "Slaves". We saw the other 2 back in the Louvre so it was fun to see the complete set. We also walked the streets of Florence to my favorite view in the city right on the river. Then we walked up the hill to watch the sunset. So pretty!!! I love Florence!
