A sobering morning as we take the ferry to Robbens Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of his 27 years. A small tour bus takes us around the island and eventually we are in front of the building where he was incarcerated. Our tour guide here was a political prisoner during the same time and charged with terrorism. 30 and 40 years after the Holocaust and we were still treating people who are different from each other like animals. Will we ever learn? We ferry back have a lite nite for lunch ( in anticipation for an early dinner) and do some shopping. Dinner at Potluck Club yummy!!
