Horne Lake RV Park #47 - We we’re not real impressed with this place. Our sewer hookup was broken, there dogs barking at night, and the trees scratched our rig on the way out, and it was overall pretty dumpy with a lot of long time trashy RVs. But other places didn’t have space and we arrived after hours which they were willing to accommodate so it worked for one night.

Sleepy Sunflower RV Park - we decided to stop at Ogallala, NE because the airport here was Eric’s first fuel stop when he was flying the Cirrus home. The RV Park has little shade but was really cute. The playground was good and even had a sandbox. The kids got choose something from the treasure box in the office, hey each chose color changing cups, and the campground hosts made fresh popcorn for them! Since Grandma Rowley is with us Eric and I were able to go on a date. It was a fun stop in a sleepy town with a western feel. 8/2/18

26 July 2018
7/26/2018 - We spent the night Boondocking in the Cabella’s parking lot. There are a lot of other RVs here. When we pulled in the Jeep had a flat tire but we were easily able to get it fixed and had dinner at IHOP while we waited!
Mount Rushmore - This was actually a really fun stop. The kids enjoyed it and Ellie especially was amazed by the whole process of carving it. We find this whole area to be quite beautiful and unique and wish we had more time to explore. 7/26/2018

Great Explorer's Children's Museum St. Petersburg, FL
A small but fun Children's museum. Eric went and played hockey in Clearwater while we played. The museum closed earlier than expected so we enjoyed some cupcakes from a bakery around the corner while we waited for Eric to pick us up.
24 January 2018
Sebring Aviation Expo 2018 We accidentally arrived a day early and got a sneak peak of all the exhibitors setting up 😂It felt like a mini Osh Kosh with mini plane since most of them were light sport. In true Florida style most of the people there were older and we didn't see any other kids besides ours so they were pretty popular! Ellie and I bought mommy and me jamboree nails and Eric fell in love with a compact electric bike.
23 January 2018
Sebring International Raceway - We camped here while visiting the aviation expo next door and we're pleasantly surprised with Indy car practice runs to keep us entertained. And the kids had great fun making nests out of a pile of trimmed off palm leaves.

Lion Country Safari KOA West Palm Beach Site #91 We stayed 3 nights. It was an unplanned stop but we really enjoyed it! Campground was nice, shaded, and well kept. Staff was very friendly. There's a heated pool which we didn't use but looked nice. We did use the laundry and playground, there is a lot of green space to play in. We got 2-day tickets to the Lion Safari included with our stay and we could hear the lions roaring in the morning and evening from our campsite! We also did a trip to the beach which was about a 45 minute drive. A really fun stop, the kids didn't want to leave!
Loggerhead Marine Aquarium
Turtle rescue center, small but very neat. Free with a $5 donation suggested. There is a park next door and beach access across the street. Great place to stop in!

6 December 2017
McDowell Campground RV7 - This was a great campsite. Beautiful surroundings, very nice park, nice roads in and out, privacy. The gate locks at night but we were given a gate code. Very peaceful. The only downside is it's a bit far to a lot of the activities in Charlotte.
5 December 2017
Daniel StoweBotanical Gardens - A bit overpriced but beautiful and the kids had fun. We started with a picnic lunch in the kids garden where the highlight was the carousel. Then we strolled through the grounds and ended with the conservatory which had beautiful tropical plants, a ferry garden, electric trains, and a chocolate tree. The conservatory was Ellie's favorite part, she couldn't get over how beautiful it was and didn't want to leave.
Carolinas Aviation Museum - This was such a fun aviation museum! There were 2 cockpits for the kids to climb in and out of with all kinds of buttons to push, that was their favorite part. The real highlight was the actual plane from the Miracle on the Hudson along with informational videos and plaques. There was a bunch of other stuff that Eric looked at that I didn't pay attention to! We spent over 2 hours here and though it was a bit pricey we all had a great time!
3 December 2017
Zooland Family Campground. Spent one night here before going to the zoo. The kids loved the playground and mini golf decorated with zoo animal statues. The campsites are small but It's quiet and shaded and overall a good experience.

Ocean Lakes Campground has great beach access.
22 August 2017
Hanging Dog Recreation Area at Hiwassee Lake. We went to a swimming area, it was really rocky but fun once you got used to it. Ellie pretended to be penguin and slid down the rocks into the water. The kids had a great time just swimming and floating around! Not the best beach and the water was nowhere near clear but we had fun. The rocks were cool because you could easily beak pieces off. We had fun writing in our bodies with the rocks because when it dried it turned into a silvery paint.
20 August 2017
First Trip in the Winnebago! Crawford's Campground for solar eclipse viewing. So far we really like it. There is a playground and big boulders for the kids to climb on. Today we went to Hanging Dog recreation area to swim in Hiwassee Lake. It was very rocky but we had a good time!

15 January 2017
On our way to Disneyworld! This was a great place to stop. It's small and the management is very friendly. It's a bit noisy because it's close to the freeway but that makes it a convenient stop. The kids loved riding their bikes around the campground and there's a little pond with horses. One of our "neighbors" even gave us some free wood for a campfire!
4 December 2016
KOA Savannah South - This was a good place to stop. Convenient, has a pond with geese, camp store, and I think it had a playground.

Checking out the event area at Finale Mondiali
Finally settled in and ready to explore, the racetrack is right out our door!
We drive 8 hours today down to Jacksonville. I drove the van towing the Airstream for the first time while Eric followed in the Ferrari. It was easy and nerve racking all at the same time! We stayed at the Pecan Park RV Resort where there seems to be a lot of "full timers". Love that it's next to the airport and planes fly right over head on approach, the kids got a kick out of that. Downside is now Park or walking trail but other than that it's OK for just an overnight stop. Oh, and Link fell off the bed in the middle of the night, so that was fun! About to have breakfast and head to Daytona Beach for the Ferrari Finale Mondiali!
