Quick dip into London- I looooove the Tate Modern, beside of my Bestie the only thing I miss from London- hang on, the ladies pond Hampstead Heath I do miss too😆 £6.50 chocolate ice cream with a view, got to be done! We got our hands on a treasure hunt/ activity suit case for the first time- totally recommended for the little ones ( we crowned it by choosing a price in the shop, trust them to get a bouncy ball amongst all the art books...).

My last few hours and I have been cracking up during breakfast this morning! I sit
In a little restaurant which most westerners seem to escape to as it looks fairly decent. It was only me and 2 German ladies on the table next to me. Just after I ordered I saw the barman walking out with a rather big cage full of rats, big ones, small ones....about 20 all together. It seemed perfectly normal as he was chatting away to waiters. I started smiling- no I really don't like rats, but the situation was comical! The ladies next me, early pensioners looked at me and asked whether I had seen this. It was their first trip to India, they took it with such a humours shock as one of the ladies said how everyone tried her to stop from coming....she is such a particular person...and then that...never mind, we all ate had a laugh, and went our ways! Bonne voyage thank you India❤️️

Wow wow wow! Even so I have a massive list of people wanting things from Delhi I got up super early and made a trip to the lotus temple. It's about an hour taxi ride from my hotel. The temple celebrates all faiths and is built using sacred geometry. I have never meditated in such a massive sacred geometrical space and am totally blown away. As I got there early it was still empty and I chose a seat right in the centre. It must be similar to a meditation in a pyramid, the worlds in the worlds within the worlds....weaving itself in and around my DNA.

The journey from Goa to Delhi was super smooth! I feel like a collection point for moments to appreciate 😆 it's cold here in Delhi I arrived last night, surprised to see it was under 10'degrees... I am wearing everything I have and it works brilliant! I am in the same hotel, same room as I was when I came with Noah....
11 January 2017
Goodbye Agonda! Beautiful day, beautiful sunset, beautiful people to say goodbye to! Time to pack my bag, maybe watch a movie and have a last early morning meditation tomorrow. We arrived the week of the fullmoon and I am leaving on full moon, perfect!
10 January 2017
Beautiful afternoon with Dominique and Jyoti! Some festival is going on in town🌺🌺🌺 the first sugar cane machine I saw this time around...Noah my boy was dying to try sugar cane juice....oh well there always needs to be an unfulfilled dream! Just awesome to enjoy without agenda, taking each little wonder at the time!

Friends from a loooong time ago... easy holidaying don't even have to make an effort and meet new people, just enough familiar faces to keep it sweet! We share an ice cream love! How many ice creams can I eat in the next couple of days? I suggest one with each meal...really need to look up how to make such rich, creamy, delicious 😋 vegan ice cream- I might have to live on it for the next year🍦
I am waking up early now, sleeping really well and catching up on years of deprived meditation and podcast time!!! I am on my 3rd book and even managed to get a pedicure- I know how beautifully unnecessary going back the UK, but my feet are so happy so had to give them a little treat💕 most importantly though is that the flower man now leaves the flowers every day outside my room🌺
8 January 2017
Meeting my friend and teacher from 12 years ago here in India! It was just about everything you expect and more from a free spirited yogini that somehow vibrates different then the rest of us😇 I felt myself moving between feeling like a student, watching a comedy- Russel Brand can learn learn from this one- listening to an audio book and then in between just being a friend again...3 more days here in Agonda, trust me every breath is pure divinity infinity🌟🌟🌟
7 January 2017
Capture this , the BEST vegan chocolate ice cream in India 😆 @zest please open up in Frome, no better even - in Nunney👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Market day! Wish I could send you some smells-especially the fish market 😂 I just can't get enough of the colours and flowers, patterns, glitter, saris 🌺
6 January 2017
So this is the part of the journey which is about the inner world, less pictures, less excited outbursts to the world but trust me adventurous nevertheless 😉 I have broken my two day fruit fast with a delicious coconut soup. I am sure the fruit stall man will miss me. I keep meeting friends to once a day which is really enjoyable, either lunch or dinner with myself. Such a rare gift to let yourself drift from moment to moment. Absolutely NO obligations, the only question that keeps arising- what do I need next? The answer is generally meditate, tap, drink a fresh juice, eat, sleep...simple, I like it! 🙏
So I meditate by the beach for a couple of hours, in and out- clearing, diving deep and expanding... then I hear dogs aggressively barking away, kind of unusual normally they get annoyed with the life guards but that sounded different! I turn around and they are attacking a cow, badly! A few people already gathered to help the poor cow, when the cow starts running towards me- I am thinking no way she is not gonna bump into me..:but I get up and move aside and the cow comes and drops herself onto my towel😆😆😆 India you are crazy!!!
4 January 2017
Pictures was taken last night On my way home from a delicious meal😂 it's only been a couple of days since my boys have left and so much is happening. I am telling you the art is in doing nothing and letting it all come😉 so I have had a wonderful birthday night with an old friend way back from my London times.... we had raw mango cake and dinner at pancha mama. I had a business meeting- not to be talked about just yet. I had massages and meditated to sunrise and sunset. I was terribly sick last night- my turn- which has slowed me right down... its 12.30pm and I just made it to a beach cafe for a watermelon juice and tea....feeling really good in my slow, wobbly self!
3 January 2017
Beautiful celebration morning with new friends at the German bakery!! Noah is 7 today and I am 40. Last impressions of Palolem beach, you know the stuff that seems so normal as you pass it every day and when you are back home they are pure love filled memories!! What makes it ever so special are the smells, shame I can't attach them😆 off to a birthday massage now!! I am so happy to be 40🙏 .... my guest house is called Gods Gift🌟 so watch this space!!
Happy birthday to us! Yabadabadooooo
2 January 2017
Last days have always a bitter sweet taste , filled with gratitude and sadness my boys had the last surfing lesson, beautiful sunset, best ever dinner (Jerry ordered 2 mains, as in 2 fishes😆), and hours of wave diving!! Agonda really is our favourite beach!! I am so sad and so excited at the same time🙏
31 December 2016
What a day, a peaceful last day of a very hard working 2016. Jerry's turn to have an upset stomach but he managed it in style. Chilling it out at Agonda beach- we had to cancel our trip to the spice farm... Noah got an early Birthday gift a surf lesson- another dream come true! Just awesome to see him being his full, free and adventurous self! We finished the day with traditional Goan dancing and are super ready for a wonderful 2017, bring it on!!!
30 December 2016
9am the flower man came, incense is on, sun is shining Noah seems to be over his Delhi belly...what Can i say, life is wonderful!! Jerry had his long awaited papaya too and Noah is chilling with his friend😎
29 December 2016
Sick bay in paradise after all those weeks...gokarna left its mark🙈
Jerry did it! He stepped in some holy cow poo, splashed all the way up his leg... we were cracking up😂😂😂 no way back, blessed by the highest order in India!!!
28 December 2016
Making friends a crucial part of every holiday! I can remember most of my childhood holidays by friends rather than places😉
27 December 2016
Deep breath! It all turned around we had a great day ! We met a Russian guy who has been coming here to Gokarna for the last 6 years and he took us on a rickshaw tour guide, to all the temples we would have never found in a day otherwise! Snake temple, 2 Ganesh temples, a bathing place, Rama temple and I forgot the names of the other ones. Noah was a bit pushed towards the end...we made up for it with Dosas, Idlis, bought lots of stickers, incense and some essential oils. What a pilgrimage place!!! Exhausted now, I am sitting at the train station waiting for the train back to palolem... one more challenge which we can't work out at the moment, how to get to our hut from the station tonight. After so many temple visits I am assuming one of the blessings will take us safely there...
First downer during this trip- a real bad one 😖 arrived late in gokarna and couldn't find the hotel we wanted. The sun was down and we still didn't have a place to sleep and ended up in what felt, smelled and looked like a prison. Even so we were all dying for a shower, baby wipes had to do... thanks goodness we brought our own mosquito net- check out the picture what they had to offer! We checked out at 8am not knowing where to go but all we could think of was OUT
26 December 2016
We made it! None of the three times we were given was the actual leaving time which didn't matter as it came with almost 2 hours delay...chai chai chai helped a little waiting time😉 the journey was in a classic Indian passenger train, all worth the wait!
Good morning world, whilst we were packing Noah practiced what he spent a lot of time watching😉 off to gokarna, wish us luck we have three different train times for a train that runs once a day...
25 December 2016
What a Christmas! 8am start, dolphin watching with a fishers boat. It was a tough night people were partying hard all around but you know the extra push out of of bed is all worth it when you see the warm glow of the morning sun, dolphins jumping, eagles flying and a deep sense of peace and joy. Whilst we were out on sea Father Christmas stopped by, luckily we prepared a little nativity scene last night...
24 December 2016
Today is all about colours! I am starting to think that's why I love India so much- everything has colour. The houses, the saris, the food... it makes my soul smile and rest.
23 December 2016
Days like today you just want to press a pause button! We started off with a sweet and fresh watermelon on the veranda when we heard a loud humming sound coming closer. A massive bee swarm within seconds all around us. They settled at an opposite tree and what it looks like fell asleep. Only moments later we were amongst coconut tree climbers who skilfully climbed the trees, wow impressive!! And then before we knew it we were in the centre of a heavy coconut shower. Noah stole a few and a very kind Indian man opened it for us- after all it's their livelihood to sell them...delicious to the coconut moon and back!! Lunch at the German bakery, and window shopping (well we got a little Christmas gift for Noah- shhhh) all the way back to the beach. Life once again you are awesome!!!
22 December 2016
Train ticket hunting without success, do we really want a night bus? 😖
21 December 2016
Beautiful day by the beach! Awesome to see the boys kayak in perfect synchrony. Surprisingly lots of eagles are around- beautiful ones coming close to the water so we can see them in their full power! Just when Jerry wanted to go for a beer his help was needed pushing a fishing boat in...Noah and me had a good laugh!
20 December 2016
We are lucky to be on the very end of the beach, bordering to the jungle with a good 10minute walk into Palolem, passing through some real India... more Thalis, fresh mangoes, sugar apples, chocolate biscuits, mosquito coils and a couple of trousers for Jerry later, we are sitting by candle light with the sound of crickets in the background eating fruits and biscuits! 🙏
Yeah we arrived at Palolem. A bit of a journey...but we got there in the end😉 changed huts and are happy now! It's very different here. Instead of the sound of ocean we hear monkeys, everything is more basic- we left the world of daily cleaned rooms, fresh flowers and laundry being done- but chilling in the hammock and will go into town tomorrow to get a little incense and maybe a couple of Ganesh statues... more over the next days.
The boys are having their last dip in the ocean here at Agonda beach. I am internalising this view ready to be recalled on a rainy day back home! We met some amazing people down here, so inspirational. I love stories and am in awe of the amount of goodness that goes around. We met a young man building a retreat for trafficed girls, he works for his grandmother who founded the charity. We listened to people sponsoring the education of their taxi drivers daughter for the last 10 years. We chatted to people waiting for their lost luggage on their way to the jungle where the daughter taught at a music school and brought her parents over to get involved for 3 months, giving counselling and teaching English. We chatted to the very friendly staff and are leaving a piece of our heart. Thank you life🙏
19 December 2016
Oh joy of joys just when we thought life is at its best Jerry comes marching in and adds an extra smile ! We had a delicious Tikka Masala on the porch waiting for him, Noah dancing in excitement the entire evening when just after 11pm, a whole day of travelling on his shoulders, he arrived in the usual relaxed Jerry style. I have to find another job now as wave dive watching days are gone, the boys are freely floating on the water! We are moving to another beach tomorrow but that seems far away at the moment...
18 December 2016
We all love Thalis and cows (alive that is), cannot get enough!! Waiting for Jerry to arrive, sooo excited! Really feeling well rested now, ready for some adventures next week. Do we have a plan? Of course! Spice farm, banana leaf plate making farm visit, a couple of days in Hampi and more food, sun and chilling. I met an old friend yesterday so there is a possible visit with her to an Ayurvedic herb clinic after Christmas on the cards... so much happens when you stare into the horizon all day long, I can get used to this!
17 December 2016
The last evening of Noah's and Julia's adventure is coming to an end. The first phase of our travel moving into the next one. One cannot explain how very special this time with my freedom loving, brave boy has been. Love moving through time and space, intensifying and always seeking for more. It is time for us to welcome Jerry and share this abundant beauty with him. It's time I talk to an adult, it's time someone play-fights with Noah and we have a sense of separate beings again. But life, dear wonderful universe, rest assured this is only the beginning🙏
Ok my friends you want a holiday moment, here we go! Noah has a little earache today so we are longer in our hut... looking up whilst on the toilet I am thinking what an unusual electricity cable, but hang on it f*** moves!!! I shout for Noah who inspects the snake curiously. Cleaner says don't worry, reception staff jump up nervously run in our room and 15 minutes later she was caught... was she poisonous? Apparently only a little bit😆 should you get bitten hold it tight and don't let the poison run in your body, go to a doctor quickly... don't worry Ma'am now you can relax....😱💩☠️
16 December 2016
Noah said last night he feels as he had been here forever. It feels like that, so far away from what we perceive as normal and deep into a new kind of upgraded sense of normal. We continued designing tattoos he wanted a dolphin today, it took a while to get it So we spent a good hour or so working it out. And then guess what happened- DOLPHINS 🐬 actually came to swim in our eyesight!!! What a holiday moment!!! No bodyboard today, only wave jumping which meant I had to be more involved as the current is pretty strong. So we spent hours in the water today! An aw some sunset moment crowned a beautiful day at the beach. Ah and I had a little time to run over my life in England, this time it's all about simplifying, a break from new creations (well tiny additions maybe)...😆
15 December 2016
Today has mainly been hot! We moved between water and our shaded sun loungers AND were reading. What on earth made me take The Demon Dentist for Noah on holiday? No way back, we are half way through but honestly not my style of a children book...can't wait for Jerry to arrive with another one. We designed tattoos and Noah went for the one in the picture as he found back in Delhi black henna in a small chemist. A bit too much tablet time made room for me to read as well. I found a German book which relates to a lot that is going on in my mind right now. Without doing anything India works its magic, on my last trip 12 years ago I did a lot meditation with an Indian couple, he got in touch today asking if I want to do a talk in the Himalayas next September AND then it turns out that he will come to goa next week to teach😆I also bumped into lovely people in Delhi that are part of a UK local festival that I might be involved with next year and they also wrote that they are coming tomorrow.
14 December 2016
Our first Tibetan restaurant experience today, totally awesome, Momos were delicious and Noah made a friend...I am talking about the guitar of course! Chillaxing all the way, I even managed to bodyboard- yes i did!!!
Early morning excited start! Hitting the first wave at 8.30am. It's a little overcast today, maybe a little walk on the beach? I am fascinated my the meeting of cultures it ranges from amazement to a real uncomfortable belly feeling. The western girls hanging out with the beautiful Indian boys, the boys dreaming, dreaming big. Our rickshaw driver told us yesterday that his girlfriend is coming from Dubai and he will go with her after Christmas. He bought her a white sari already. But I guess there are real life fairytales, and those are wonderful. We all dream, well I dream and that's the place where everything starts!
13 December 2016
So our first day in paradise, I forgot how easy it is to do nothing!! Well it's not quiet true it took me a few moments to recognise that I am not a traveller in my mid twenties looking for spiritual enlightenment, neither am I mid 50s reading books and enjoying the silence next to my husband. I am the sandwich holiday generation, here with my beautiful six year old boy, and all those books will still be around for when the time is right....I have a water obsessed child, who spent over 5 hours teaching himself how to ride the perfect wave. I honestly got a bit twisted in my head with all that homeschooling stuff this morning, thinking I should be doing a little formal teaching every day with him. But after I saw him sit, watch the waves, try the waves, watch the surfers and then got it so perfectly right... I have settled with an inner smile knowing that there is a time for everything! So I spent my day sitting in a refreshing sand puddle watching him. I chanted and was simply present!
12 December 2016
Last day in Delhi and I really wasn't in the mood for "No problem Ma'am your phone is not broken, Ma'aam" , when i really wanted to be visiting the Lotus temple and not visiting two apple shops to get my battery fixed, organising taxis, going after my lost laundry... and staying calm when our rickshaw driver had a spliff break! There is only so much time an adult can spend in Delhi, but Noah felt like a tiger in a cage needing to move, the only tranquilliser I had was chocolate biscuits which had an adverse effect. We needed fresh food, space and fresh air and a break from the intense vibe all around! We arrived at 10pm with delay in goa, Noah made card wheels in joy of space and freedom! The taxi driver stopped at a yummy local restaurant and an hour later we were in paradise! The hut is beautiful, but the outside shower and toilet under coconut trees a stunner! We fell asleep well after midnight with sound of the ocean in the background- and breath!
11 December 2016
Impossible not to be inspired by those colours!
A little dip into the main bazaar, walking down memory lane! Took a little bribery to get Noah out of the hotel but he was walking confidently amongst the mad crowds, choosing beautiful mandala stickers, golden OM symbols, checking out singing bowls for his forest school mentor Anna and of course incense!! Meeting the krishnas tipped him over as they were LOUD and hundreds of people beeping the horns, intense but I loved it!! I am missing my green tea, so that was my treat to buy a package from one of my favourite Indian brands, Himalaya! Ohhhh life is good🙏 we had a lot to take in today from Sat Nam to Radhe, from Palak Paneer to Spaghetti beyond crazy rickshaw rides and beautiful colours!
First temple visit in Delhi was a Sikh Temple. Amazing experience! Noah thought it was cool but weird. I must admit, it was terribly embarrassing when our shoes fell out of the rucksack. I managed just about to get Noah to wear the head cover. Such an inspiration to see thousands of people coming together in devotion. I managed a little sacred moment taking I the chants, India you are amazing!
