Tour day #3
In the morning we headed to Uluwatu temple that was sacred for being the highest temple as it's built on the edge of a cliff. The weather was not ideal for climbing up the side of a cliff today! There were also wild monkeys that roamed the grounds and liked to steal things from you e.g. sunglasses which was funny to watch. Luckily nothing got taken from our group.
After we headed back to Kuta and had lunch at a restaurant with a pool. There was also a balcony that you could jump off of into the pool. We spent a few hours here before our surf lesson.
For our lesson we headed to the beach. Had a quick lesson on how to stand on the board and then we were off into the water. I managed to catch a pretty good wave early on and was the first to stand up. Overall I managed to stand quite a lot.
As this was our last day in Kuta we went to Sky Garden, the main club which was fun and an experience although not my cup of tea.

Tour day #2
In the morning we got up and got on a coach to Tanah Lot. We stopped for lunch and then went to the temple. The temple is sacred as it's in the sea. The tide was too far in today and too rough for us to actually go up to the temple.
After the temple we got back on the coach. The plan was to go to the beach to watch the sunset but we got stuck in traffic for 4 hours! It was meant to be an hour journey! To pass the time, people ended up hopping on and off to get beers.
When we finally got back to the hotel we went for dinner and then called it a night.

Tour day #1
So the tour doesn't start until the evening so I spent the whole day at the pool reading. In the afternoon I had to switch rooms but it was only to the room next door which was fine.
In the evening I went up to the room to get ready for dinner and met my roomie for the next 8 days, Jordie. She's here from New Zealand with 4 friends from home.
We went and met everyone by the pool and then went for dinner. After dinner we went to a bar that had table tennis and pool which we played until it was time for bed. Everyone was still pretty jet lagged.

Landed in Kuala Lumpah. Slept in the airport until my flight. Again free row to Bali. Flight had a bit of turbulence but not too bad.
Arrived in Bali and groupnleader not there to pick me up so waited 5/10 mins. Then he came and found me by the info desk as traffic had been bad.
He showed me around Kuta on the drive and checked me into my hotel. Spent the evening relaxing in the room. The hotel was called the 'Grand La Walon' hotel and was really nice! The pool was so warm!
