Spent the morning organising myself, then headed to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.
Rainy and windy day!
Kirstenbosch, one of the worlds great botanical gardens, was established in 1913 to protect the immense floral wealth of the Western Cape.
Had lunch and wine here. Food and drink is so cheap. 2 glasses of wine and lunch came to £7.00 in total.
Paula collected me from Cape Town airport. Headed for a quick drink before heading back to her house for dinner and an early night!
28 July 2015
After nearly 24 hours of travelling I finally arrived into Cape Town.
Flight from London was delayed by 1 1/2 hours due to having to returning to the gate to offload a passenger.
Arrived in Addis Ababa at 7am Ethiopian time (5am UK time), ready for connecting flight to Cape Town.
From what I saw Addis Ababa was a pretty basic airport.
Left on time at 9.30am (7.30am UK), but also had to fly via Gabarone, Botswana (Sir Seretse Khama International Airport) to let some passengers off there.
On the flight to Botswana we flew by Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania).
We landed at Botswana at 2pm (1pm UK), and were scheduled to be there an hour. 30 mins later we were back in the air on the way to Cape Town.
The scenery flying was very dry looking, very desert. But as we flew over the mountains into The Winelands and Cape Town everything became very green.
Landed in Cape Town at 4.50pm (40 mins early).
