Itir's voyage in Selimiye, Turkey

15 September 2014

Our hotel - Les Terrasses de Selimiye
Selimiye at the break of dawn

Selimiye at sunset
But it is still a village at heart and there are chickens and other animals roaming the streets
Pure heaven...
Our hotel had the best view of the bay and I decided to go for a swim in the pool while taking in the views
We had lunch at Badem Mantı which specializes in Turkish ravioli and serves tea with candy coated almonds
Selimiye also has great beaches and a more lively social life when compared to Orhaniye
The next day we made our way to Selimiye where our hotel was located overlooking the sea
The beach was literally deserted in the early morning with geese wandering freely
The morning was just as beautiful as I watched the sunrise

I watched the most beautiful sunset on our hotel's beach
Orhaniye is still undiscovered by the masses of tourists, so if you are looking to get away from the crowds, this is the perfect place
Orhaniye is famous for the Kızkumu Beach where there is literally a walkway in the middle of the sea. Be forewarned there are lots of small pebbles, it may be best to bring along some sort of footwear to wear in the water.
First we stopped off in Orhaniye, which is about a 20 minute drive to Selimiye
