Isabelle's adventure in Martinique

25 February 2017

Macaboo beach was not great. 2⭐️⭐️ I went swimming there and it was clear water but gross because there were weeds floating everywhere. The horse ranch near by looked really nice and I would have gone but it was our last day there and my family doesn't like horses like I do. This was a small beach that was cool to see but not worth staying at

I would say this is 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because it was a nice well kept garden with many plants and birds. There was a huge line for the tree top bridge and they only let 2 people go at a time. We didn't end up going to the bridge because I was in a larger party and it was too hot to wait in line. The staff were not friendly at all to us. This is rated 2nd best thing to do in Martinique on trip advisor but I disagree. It was a huge tourist magnet and the food was not good there either but the garden itself was pretty.

This was an amazing called Anse charpentier which is a drive from our rental house. It was better than diamond beach and we were there for a little bit to check it out after we ate at the restaurant. I went in the water and it was so pretty and clear. The black sand was so nice and original. It had big waves like diamond and I love it so much and would go back. We went there after hiking at mount pelée 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mount Peleé was amazing and I would rate it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we hiked to the ledge where the crater in the volcano is which took about 3 hours. We didn't hike the whole thing because it was hot and tiring. The views were amazing at the top and all the way up too. We had a great hiking day and it was beautiful and clear. It was more of a climb than a hike and you find yourself climbing up the rocks with your hands in parts of it. It was rated #1 on trip advisor and I think it was well worth the drive to get there.

Le diamond beach is a great beach worth going to! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it has huge waves that are fun to ride on and it's a semi black sand beach. There is a cute little crêpe shack that is amazing and a waffle truck that is adorable too and is also really good. There's basically nobody there which is nice and there is easy parking. There are nice shops and restaurants on the road and you have the best view of diamond rock. We went to this beach 2 times because it was so nice to go to!

We rented this amazing house at blue bay villas over by the cap est in françois. It was so modern and nice and I recommend this house for large parties like ours (11 people) it was right on the water and had a nice pool and kayaks which we took out to a sand bar. It was air conditioned and was in the middle of the island which gave us options on where to go
4.7⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 this was a nice beach that was local to where we were staying so it was nice that we could get there easily. You could go out about a football field away from the beach and still be able to stand with the water up to your thighs. It was extremely clear water and there were shells everywhere. The beach was ok and there were no facilities there. I liked this beach a lot.

Les salines beach was the best beach on the island!! I rate it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it was calm and beautiful for swimming. There are little shops along the beach and small restaurants that basically have the same food. It is in southern Martinique and it it he best on weekdays because there are less people. The parking is really tight but it is worth it anyway. It's better to go after lunch or later because thats when most people are gone and the beach becomes even more beautiful ☀️ I love this beach and HIGHLY recommend it!
