Intercâmbio 2019

16 December 2018

we were in Praça da Palmela with the cousins Kiko and Mia today, a park facing the canopy, Located in Cascais. As you can see, no one actually practiced tree climbing. But there is a cafe there and a big lawn where we played football with the little ones.

In the free time we had today, between Gabi's end-of-year presentations, my family took me to know Guincho beach today. This beach is a popular spot for surfers all year round. And besides being very beautiful (and just like most beaches in Portugal you can see the sunset) and very windy all year round.

Today we went to Lisbon, in the zone of the new avenues. The day was very windy and raining from time to time, so we went to the nearest mall to wait for the rain to pass. Called Campo Pequeno, small field in English, the mall really is not very big. Situated in the heart of Lisbon, it is a subterranean mall beneath a legend of Bullfighting, an emblematic building of the city since 1892, with an odd architecture of neo-Arab style. As soon as the rain passed, we headed to the gardens of the Gulbenkian Foundation - located next to the Plaza of Spain - with a total area of 7.5 hectares. A beautiful garden. In summer it's always full, being a great place for picnics. At this time the local ducks - always friendly - enjoy to interact with the visitors, trying to get something in return.

In my first day here we went out to dinner at the Cascais public market, in a restaurant called Guli (of Italian cuisine and a great Hawaiian pizza). Then we walked through the center of the city, where the Christmas decoration is already set up. In the beachfront, where they installed a Ferris wheel, as well as a whole square full of white lights, as if it had snowed.
after a badly slept night on the plane, almost reaching the final destination.
