If not now, when?

Third wheeling through Sydney πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
10 miles of sightseeing and Lord I am tired! πŸƒπŸ˜΄ The gals got the important bits, but here's the rest of the story πŸŠπŸ°πŸ’πŸ‘πŸ‘ΈπŸ—Ό ( the photos are out of order). Started off with a snorkel at a local spot🏊, followed by a stroll across the Sydney harbour bridge. I visited the bridge museum & made the most of it with a clichΓ© opera house selfie 🏰 and a photo of the beautiful bridge🏒. Walking down George St. we stopped for a bite, a drink, and a bit of modeling by the ladies πŸ‘. As we made our way down George, we stopped at shops and admired the lovely buildings along the way. Katie made a picture of the street side structures even lovelier πŸ‘Έ. I took a long elevator ride up Sydney's Tallest Buildingβ„’ and grabbed a few photos of the area πŸ—Ό. We finished the day with a walk through the botanic gardens, past the opera house, and finished with dinner at the Wells' and conversation with John. My name is Jeff

On Thursday we spent a wild 24 hrs with the man, the myth and the legendary Andrew Cross-- an old family friend. We met him at Manly Beach and took us on a journey up the coast to Narrabeen. Andy is a decorated life saver in Sydney and a great surfer. After teaching us to surf (kinda) we had a bbq and spent the night at his house. The next morning we watched the sun rise over West Head and then spent the rest of the day at manly and Shelly beach πŸ‘™πŸŒŠπŸ¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ˜Ž
Big day in Manley! Thursday spent the day with Andrew exploring many beaches, surfing (more attempting) and a wonderful evening and Barbie with his family. Early Friday we woke to watch the sunrise at West Head with Andrew and Angie, enjoyed a flat white, went to a blow hole, ate, explored the shops along Manley beach, ate, played in the large surf due to the Fiji cyclone that moved down, ate kangaroo and crocodile fajitas, walked to Shelly Beach for a snorkel and a nap in the arvo then ventured back to the city via ferry. Snuck into a fancy rooftop bar without appropriate attire but we felt out of place and sandy so went to something in The Rocks. Waited for the ferry near the Opera House and enjoyed a meal and shower back with the Will's. What a beautiful place.

Sundee Family Day with the cousins. Enjoyed a beautiful walk to Henley Beach for breckie and then some fun on the beach. In the afternoon we experienced our first AFL game. Aussie football is unique combining NFL, volleyball and soccer. The Adelaide Crows destroyed the West Cost Eagles in a preseason match up.
Enjoyed a fab Satday exploring Mclaren Vale vinyards in South Australia with two of the cousins. 🍷We went to five wineries and I finally understand the difference between Riesling and Shiraz. Bought a bottle of Moscato to enjoy back home. We enjoyed the late afternoon on the beach and weren't the whitest ones around surprisingly. The day ended with Thai food outdoors, watching the sunset and a homemade pavlova.πŸŠπŸ»πŸŒŠπŸ‘™πŸ½ πŸŒ…βœ”οΈ Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Ann and Sally this morning as they venture back to the states and our last goodbyes to Corrie, Louis and Macquarie as they head back to Maningrida early Sundee. πŸŒŽπŸ‘΅πŸΌπŸ‘©πŸΌπŸŒπŸ‘«πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ›«πŸ—Ί-k

Here fishy, fishy! 🎣 today we went fishing with the great fish hunter, Corrie! He arranged an off shore fishing trip that began with a gorgeous sunrise and ended with a heap of fish. We caught blue crab, white fish, Snapper and squidadalydoos (squid πŸ˜‚). We hit some rough seas for our 12 ft boat, that of which I am still feeling the affects. Or maybe it's the wine? 🍷-- L #straya

Adelaide Fringe Fest. #fringewithbenefits Auntie Sarah spoiled us and took us to see two shows- a puppet show called Alvin Sputnik- Undersea Adventure with mixed media: live music, graphics, singing and puppets. Then last years Fringe pick (best from the festival) and saw Velvet- a circus, disco, singing, acrobatics and dancing mix. Put Vegas to shame. Awesome night in the city. πŸ’ƒπŸŒžπŸΊπŸ·πŸŽŸ

The flight: sleeping pills are a modern miracle. 24 hrs after leaving a foggy salt lake, we arrived in a sunny Adelaide and immediately hit the beach and the bottle πŸ˜‚. -L
JKL touch down in AUS. 1 more flight to Adelaide. Grab a towel, we are starting to thaw. β˜ƒπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβž‘οΈπŸŒžπŸ‘™πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

Liz here! While Kate and Jeff were off in LA, I spent my last day in salt lake at the hunting expo! Lots of mounts and good people watching.
Hanging out at LA County Museum of Modern Art with Alex and Brian Koplow. It shares the same grounds as the LA Brea tar pits - a great chance to stretch our legs before the long flight and hang out with another branch of Katie's family.

12 February 2016

Here weeee go!! First stop: LA to see the Koplow cousins, Brian and Alex. 🎬πŸŽ₯πŸ†’
