Hendrik's Odyssee durch Thailand & Indochina

2 January 2017

Big Dream Resort - found a great low key place to stay on Koh Kood. Italian dude running it with so much passion and serving the best cocktails on the island. Rooms are clean and basic. Highly recommend it.

Purple Lantern - best Vietnamese food we had in Hoi An. Run by the whole family and the food is so flavourful.

Glow Skybar - very posh but great drinks and amazing view. Also pretty good music.
La Hostaria - Great Italian restaurant in Japan town. Traditional and cozy.
Saigon Outcast - Great place to chill out in District 2. You can even use their skate ramp or climbing wall.

Cuc Gach - nice restaurant with old style Vietnamese cuisine. Really cool patio. And never seen such a huge menu.
Street Food Market in District 1 - super good, relaxed atmosphere and lots of different options.

23 December 2016

Broma - pretty cool bar which turns into a small club later in the night. DJ is spinning and cool people. Located in District 1.
Rogue Saigon - craft beer bar in District 1. Great for a drink before the club. Nice rooftop.
Secret Garden - very cool restaurant and so yummy. Hidden in a back alley on a rooftop. Loved it.

Kuang Si Waterfall - 30 km from Luang Prabang and auch a beauty. The hike to the top is not long but pretty steep if you take the right trail.

20 December 2016

Pak Ou Cave - rented a private boat and enjoyed the Mekong and the cave. Highly recommend to do this in the afternoon so you can catch the sunset.

15 December 2016

El Patio - Great bar in Chiang Mai and the owner is a German dude and super cool.
Great cooking class in Chiang Mai @ Benny's Home Cooking. Outside of the city with own organic garden and a super chilled setting. Highly recommend it.

13 December 2016

TheCommons - very cool and stylish community spot where you can eat, drink, work, shop, etc
Jim Thompson House - a beautiful oasis in the centre of Bangkok. It's part museum, art gallery and has a restaurant. Worth a visit.
