Hannah's Abenteuer in Argentina

22 July 2017

Today I got to experience a part of the Argentinian culture πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· After spending all morning looking for a place to live, I went to the parc with Emily and her grandma to drink mate. Which is probably one of the most typical think to do in Argentina. The park is one of the biggest in Argentina and also really pretty! It has a big lake where it's probably really nice to hang during the summer β˜€οΈ

WINE TOUR 🍷 😍 I think the pictures talk for themselves and wine especially! πŸ˜‚
This would probably be my favorite day so far in Mendoza, alright it's only my second day here so far but still. Yesterday I found a language school, where I'm going to be taking classes for the next 1 1/2 weeks and today was my first real first day. In the morning we had normal Spanish classes but later in the afternoon we took a photography class in Spanish. πŸ“Έ it was really cool and I actually learn a lot about how to work a camera and additionally I got to explore a little bit of Mendoza ☺️

I arrived in Mendoza, my home for the next month. The trip to Mendoza was quite exhausting. I can't recommend to anyone to fly from the airport New Jorge in Buenos Aires, I think I have never seen such a chaotic airport. I had to wait an hour just to drop off my language, but which also had a good side. Because they were so busy the lady at the desk didn't check my weight of my bag and therefore I didn't had to pay for my 10kg overweight! πŸŽ‰ But it continued with my plane being one hour delay and stoped with a terrifying cap ride. But in the end I arrived safely in Mendoza☺️ In my first day in Mendoza I had a closer look at my university and I found a language school where I'm going to take Spanish classes for the next week and a half! Since it's low season it looks like I'll be the only one in class πŸ™ŒπŸΌ privat class for me.. yaay..

FINALLYYYY I got my suitcase back 😍😍 I think I have never been happier to see my suitcase again! After having to wear my clothes for three days I could finally change into fresh clothes πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ
Even though my clothes haven't arrived yet and I probably don't smell the best anymore I didn't just wanted to sit in my room all day. Therefore I decided to take a wonder around Buenos Aires. First I walked to the Plaza de Mayo. It was a quite nice walk, only the temperature could have been a little higher.. especially when all my warm clothes is still in my suitcase πŸ˜… I wasn't too impressed by the Plaza de Mayo but it was still nice to see. Next I walked to the Torre de los Ingleses. On the map it didn't looked too far but it felt like forever to get there. But I wasn't disappointed when I finally got there! The tower was really beautiful and the park is a really nice place to sit and enjoy the sun. Lastly I went to the Obelisco. Which definitely was my favorite sight I visit in Buenos Aires. Even though the place was packed with tourist it made me feel like I arrived in Argentina. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡·

The hostel is really nice and has everything what one needs. Since I'm lucky enough to have a private room and can finally relax a lullte before my adventure in Buenos Aires starts tomorrow!
Β‘Hola Buenos Aires! I finally arrived in Buenos Aires and I can assure you that it was definitely not one of the most pleasant journeys I experienced so far. It started in Hamburg when my laptop tested positive for explosive and the police had to come and wrote down my information. It continued with the flight to Houston on which I had to change the seat twice, because they double booked my seat and than the entertaining system didn't work. Lastly I arrived at Buenos Aires with one hour delay, unfortunately my suitcase decided to take a little vacation in Houston and will join me in Buenos Aires tomorrow.
