Ginna's grad trip in Japan/Korea

30 June 2017

LOTT - Loots Of The Trip ๐Ÿ’ธ Bags!! A bit regret โ˜น๏ธ that I forget to get a nice back bag only bought ah-huey Cosmetics!! A whole lot of cheap masks and must-buy aloe โค๏ธ with a few giam-siap free gift. Look at that bag of innisfree 82000 worth of skin care and a green tea test kit - so small yet so expensive ๐Ÿ’ธ Souvenirs (for myself)!! A bunch of keychains and non-keychains from Otaru stamp rally. See the most right-est keychain - the one I dropped somewhere in the shopping street so beautiful ๐Ÿ˜ Not forgetting the very first keychain I got from biei's daiso - giraffe โค๏ธ Foodies!! Mostly from Korea except for the jam/honey sticks. Kimchi are too mummified so no photos because no difference. Earrings!! One of the most satisfying products in the loots ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Too bad Korea only sell pierce earrings boo ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป Receipts!! Tons of them because even topping up card I also go extra + waste paper and print hahaha ๐Ÿ—’ I miss LAWSON 100 and how many emart-related receipts do I have hahahaha

28 June 2017

A special dedication to my ah-huey bag Special episode of how I actually bought a new one less than an hour before it broke on me Was very indecisive of whether to buy another new ah-huey bag and decided that I might not come back again (soon enough) so bought it and went on for ginseng chicken. As I walked out the gantry, it piak-ed on me. I was just praising how I used it for 3 years and it is still as good as new and it PIAK-ed on me!!! Still very ไฝฉๆœ myself for having a very high spatial IQ (but low IQ hahahahahahah) and fixed the bag so I can used it till I reach the house. The picture is the result of my fixing of the bag. Actually I was thinking of using it but then consulted my ๅ†›ๅธˆ (my mum) and she say throw. So ok ah-huey I ma gonna throw you back to your ๅŽŸไบงๅœฐ. Thank you for ๆ’‘-ing for this one month! I know I overloaded you during the trip but still thank you for holding in there although you gave in to the unbearable weight in the end. ่พ›่‹ฆไบ† ้˜ฟ่Šฑ ๐ŸŒธ
Day 30: Incheon airport โœˆ๏ธ Hobo life!!! Carried the 10kg box with the 20kg luggage whenever I go up and down the train - my muscles ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Why Incheon airport why you make eating ramen at the airport an illegal thing? Failed to clear the last minute ramyeon mission because no hot water! Had normal ramyeon instead and my old lunch box (FINALLY!!!) Asked for donations (from Huiqi) to buy the Doraemon choco milk hehe ๐Ÿ˜ to clear all the coins and another round of donation (from Huiqi again) to eat dinner because I don't want coins!! My luggage exceeded 20kg hahahaha. Heart dropped when Chun said buying extra baggage was 24 hours not 4 hours in advance so we just panicked and bought extra 20kg in the morning (<24 hours though) But turned out we only needed 15kg but it's ok because it's cheaper than sending it back hehe ๐Ÿ˜ So excited to wear my new clothes ๐Ÿ‘— Did I mentioned we packed our kimchi with tons of scotchtape and the box was mummified haha ๐Ÿ˜‚

27 June 2017

Day 29: Seoul Gwangjang market > Edae > Sinchon > Hongdae > Ginseng chicken > Ice cream at Wangsimni > Emart A day of food and semi shopping hehe ๐Ÿ˜ Started off with breakfast at Gwangjang market and I finally had my japchae. Got free Yakult from the auntie Huiqi got ๆ˜†ๅธƒ from (8000won for a 192won worth yakult ๐Ÿค”) Went on the S/E/H and we managed to walked from station to station ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Splurged again!! Got influenced by Huiqi to buy skorts and a few skirts ๐Ÿ˜€ Another round of bingsoo at Hongdae because โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ Finally cleared the final mission - GINSENG CHICKEN - ่กฅๅ›žๆตๅคฑ็š„ๅฐๅ‘ฝๅคงๅ‘ฝsss throughout the trip and ended the eating course with the waffle ice cream at wangsimni hehe ๐Ÿ˜ my favourite ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Finally shopping at the Emart ๆฌๆฌๆฌ 90 more masks and a ton of kimchi haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Got 4000won discount from the kimchi and 3000won tax refund

26 June 2017

Day 28: Seoul Lotte Mart > Express bus terminal > Wangsimni A full day of shopping hehe ๐Ÿ˜ Started off with Lotte mart at Seoul station - a whole lots of loots for SGD30 haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ after tax refund. I like the immediate tax refund ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Decided to carry the heavy things to the next stop for shopping - express bus terminal! Still the same as I remember it and so much easier to shop as compared to Bupyeong's. Spent SGD100.30 on a few (or rather quite a lot of) clothes and a bag! Heavy yet fulfilling. Last chance to splurge and live in my virtual world before going back to face some bad music haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Planned to see the water show at banpo bridge at hangang but ๅคฉไธไฝœ็พŽ rain like non-stop. Rain didn't stop even after we nua for almost 2 hours underground. So gave up on waiting because weather forecast day it will rain till 10pm and the show ends at 9pm. Instead went back to Wangsimni for dinner. Had Chi-Maek yet we had agreed not to drink outside the room as we are all girls! But yumz in the

25 June 2017

Day 27: Seoul University street > Naksan park > Namsan > Myeongdong A semi shopping day starting with immersing in the feels of a university student ๐Ÿ™„ at the university street. Guess we were too early to see any happening things so went on to Naksan park. Along the way is a mural village with a lot faded and intentionally removed โ˜น๏ธ Nonetheless a quiet area for nuaing. Went to namsan park with the free shuttle bus and cable car!!! Was surprised that the 2 way ticket is only 8500 won and I was tired from nuaing so the quickest way to the top plus there weren't much humans so not a sardine in a box! Free traditional performance then came down with cable car again and we were the first group of people for the next car so strategised and stood at the most scenic spot hahahahhahaha Finally ate hotteok before entering myeongdong to splurge ๐Ÿ˜ถ Rained halfway and we were just nice opposite seolbing so bingsoo time!! Had another Huiqi's fav oden with soup. Yumz in the tumz!

24 June 2017

Day 26: Incheon Wolmido theme park > Chinatown > Songwol fairytale village > Bupyeong underground shopping mall + Lotte mart Another day trip and this time to Incheon for the theme park! Got a free service from the uncle from the first ride (Cyber loop) so we had 4 rides in the end :) Probably the only 3ๅชforeigners there. Viking ship - how did I manage to sit at the last row the last time with my homestay daughter. Left our mark inside cabin 8 of the Ferris wheel hehe ๐Ÿ˜ Went on to Chinatown and had jjajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork (two more off the list). The walk continued to the fairy tale village and took lots of pictures (pretty but lots of humans). Did a few stunts at the very steep road in the village! Bupyeong underground shipping was not as big as what online says and it's very inorganised IMO so don't really feel like buying stuff but still bought my mum a bag and socks!

23 June 2017

Day 25: Seoul Seoul forest > K-star road > Coex mall > Commonground Walked 1.9km to Seoul forest under the big hot sun. Too hot to comment ๐Ÿ˜ถ Entered the butterfly garden and ้ธก็šฎ็–™็˜ฉ very scared they will fly into me ๐Ÿฆ‹ Then went to K-star road and can't bring myself to be very crazy hehe ๐Ÿ˜ Then decided to go to Coex mall on foot and had my birthday cake ๐ŸŽ‚ but immediately "felt" after eating it. After nua-ing for a hour or two continued to commonground. Not quite what I expected - it was just a small place with 2 big containers of shops. Instead went nearby to have ddakkalbi check off the list and coincidentally found PAIK'S. Day ended with me using the pearl mask I just bought at the E-mart! 30 pieces for 10000 won (0.41SGD/piece)! Going to buy more before I go home ๐Ÿก

22 June 2017

Day 24: Cheongpyeong Edelweiss Swiss park ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ A morning of blur-ness and not in the state of right mind as I used up my quota for Korean for the year haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ 1) didn't know I have to transfer somewhere and wasted some time! 2) Supposed to go to the bus terminal to take a bus to another terminal but I went around asking if the buses go directly to Edelweiss so ended up taking taxi before realising I got everything wrong but still got to the destination in an expensive way ๐Ÿ˜• Heart skipped a beat when I was reading reviews on the train; mostly bad ๐Ÿ˜• Decided to nua with a drink and got it at less than half price because the cashier return the drink amount back to me instead of actual change haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ (I always get extra change hehe ๐Ÿ˜) Used a tree as a tripod and took up to standard photos! Kudos to Huiqi's phone and camera haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Plus point about this place: Almost human-less so all my photos are so nice with no extra ๅฎถไน่‚ฅ at the back! Army stew and kimchi pancake for dinner! Yumz

21 June 2017

Day 23: Seoul Gyeongbokgung > Gwanghwamun plaza + King Sejong museum > Bukcheon Hanok village > Dongdaemun + Shake shack > Cheonggyecheon > E-mart @ Wangsimni Just in time for the guard changing ceremony then went in and just nice got a free guide in Chinese so went for it. Went opposite to Gwanghwamun plaza where we went down to the underground museum of King Sejong and Admiral Yi SunShin. Then walked to Bukcheon Hanok village where we walked pass the Samcheongdong-gil which we already took off the list. Forgot about the K-style hub and went on to Dongdaemun where we ๆธธ่งˆ the Line and Kakao friends shops. So cute ๐Ÿฆ„ Found shake shack along the way so dinner decided! Not bad but the cheese would be better if it's nacho cheese! Walked along Cheonggyecheon to find a spot to ๆณก่„š and walked till the "waterfall". Icy cold water is really not a good choice for tired feets - no use at all! ๐Ÿ‘ฃ Went to the nearby e-mart to buy soju hehe ๐Ÿ˜ and bread for breakfast!

20 June 2017

Day 22-2: Seoul Finally in Seoul after a 40 minutes flight delay which I can't claim from insurance because it's too short a delay. 1.5 hours to the accommodation and nua until 8 plus and went to the nearest 7-11 to buy rice for the curry we bought at Lawson 100! Yumz in the tumz ๐Ÿ˜‹
Day 22-1: Osaka Kansai airport โœˆ๏ธ Probably the most satisfying day of the trip because I spent all my coins and all the remaining money in the card on a Hagen Daaz ice cream (287ยฅ) Shiok feeling ไน‹ no more small coins and money left!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Saw an advertisement of our national stadium at T1 like so many things why put that stadium that I can't even recognise myself? Is it the Merlion old already no ไปทๅ€ผ haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Using wifi with all my might - ่กฅๅ›ž 4 days of no internet life ๐Ÿ“ฑ Arigato nippon! Sayonara ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

19 June 2017

Day 21: Kyoto > Osaka ไธœๅฏบ > Kyoto shopping street (again!) > Shinsaibashi shopping street > Dotombori (one last time!) Went back to Kyoto to buy the keychain I lost the other day and somehow it was actually a good thing that I lost it so we can return to Kyoto. And so I finally saw the Kyoto tower that I wasn't been able to spot the whole time when we were in Kyoto and not one not two but a bus of geisha! No photos so we looked at them the whole time until we saw someone taking photo of them up close and the geisha actually smiled at the camera that we went up to the bus to take photos of them. ็œŸๆ˜ฏๅกž็ฟๅคฑ้ฉฌ็„‰็Ÿฅ้ž็ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ Back to Osaka and walked the other shopping street and made a final stop at "ไธ€่ตท็‡ƒ"็ƒงๅง - 3rd time here and MEL WE ATE IT ONE MORE TIME THAN YOU!!! ๐Ÿ˜œ Experimented with the levels of things in the bowl of ramen. x2 spiciness is really ่พฃๅˆฐ็ˆฝ ๐Ÿ˜‹ Gonna miss this good food when I leave Japan. Cracked my brains to spend all the remaining coins and card money so bought ๅธๅฆ†็บธ and tons of bre

18 June 2017

Day 20: Osaka Minoo park > Tenjibashi shopping street > Dotombori (again again) Thought it was a park but more of a hiking area. Went up the so-called 380 steps to the observation deck but it's definitely more than 380 and even if it's 380, it's 380 big uneven steep steps. Noticed a wild monkey on the way up and went up without having eye contact and yeah โœŒ๐Ÿผ๏ธ at the top! Supposedly 30 minutes to the waterfall by we took 3 hours hahahahahahahahahaha and tried oden midway! Ate my Hershey ice cream (finally) on the way down and had barley tea while ๆณก่„š-ing (cool experience) Tried maple leaf tempura SWEET! ๐Ÿ˜‹ Walked to the longest shopping street and saw my LAWSON 100 so stock up rations time and bought the instant curry so I can eat it again in Korea hehe ๐Ÿ˜ Finally bought the vending apples ๐ŸŽ though it was expensive (190ยฅ) Went to opposite Ichiran for another ramen shop (880ยฅ for a noodle + rice + gyoza) ่ตšๅˆฐไบ† ๐Ÿ˜‹ Lucky to see some ๆ˜Žๆ˜Ÿs performed and OMG!!! ้ธก็šฎ็–™็˜ฉๆŽ‰ๆปกๅœฐ at the fanboys!!

17 June 2017

Day 19: Osaka Osaka aquarium > Dotombori (again) 2300ยฅ and I thought I could stay till 8pm but nope the aquarium is small enough to make you spend only 3-4 hours inside. But the interior design WOW me - Would be better if there is some kind of stamp rally ๐Ÿ˜ Finally get my hands on one of those over-priced ice cream because it's the cheapest I ever seen. Ate my favourite ๅทจๅณฐ่‘ก่„ yumz in the tum ๐Ÿคค Went out of rations so bought 3 breads - ๐Ÿฅๆ—ฉ้ค ๐Ÿžๅˆ้ค ๐Ÿฅ–ไธ‹ๅˆ่Œถ Bought jiggly cheesecake but why you have raisins at the bottom ๐Ÿ˜’ I shall not agree to the relationship of raisin and cheese NO don't insult my cheese ๐Ÿ˜… Went for โ€ไธ€่ตท็‡ƒโ€ ็ƒงๅง again and went for x2 spicy and it was all worth it. A great choice for the chilly night weather here ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

16 June 2017

Day 18: Osaka Osaka castle > Cup noodle museum > Ferris wheel > Dotombori Another castle ๐Ÿฏ but this one having the "wow" factor the moment in sight. Sun was too strong and nua-ed under the ๆ ‘่ซ cooling~~ Decided to go to the cup noodle museum and had 2 cup noodles from the vending machine. Cheese curry flavour is WOW็š„delicious ๐Ÿคค Gave up on customising the cup because it was a paper cup worth 300ยฅ ๐Ÿ˜’ Ferris wheel ๐ŸŽก A 15 minutes ride worth 500ยฅ! Worth it? Yes of course because there is a speaker in the cabin and we have a whole entertainment cabin to ourselves. The view was WOW! Went on to Dotombori! Finally saw the authentic full scale glico man ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป and octopus ๐Ÿ™ and puffer fish ๐Ÿก and crab ๐Ÿฆ€! Had onokomiyaki to end the day ๐Ÿ˜‹ Yumz in the Tum ๐Ÿ™‚

15 June 2017

Day 17: USJ Universal Studios Japan ๐ŸŽข Expected a huge crowd and wala a gigantic crowd ๐Ÿ•ด๐Ÿปโ›ฐ๐Ÿ•ด๐Ÿป๐Ÿ–. Took almost an hour to clear the entrance into the park. One ride (Hollywood the dream backdrop) and I was almost K.O. Too long since I ride anything so my stomach was unable to relax after the ride hehe ๐Ÿ˜ First photo in the park with my Charlie oppa. So cute!! Wanted to take with Snoopy but only nice to children ๐Ÿ˜’ Sat under the sun for 30 minutes waiting for the minions to parade โ˜€๏ธ But it was all worth it because they are cute! Went for the flying dragon ride with Huiqi. It was scary but the most fun and worth it ride of all. Then went to the water ride and went YOLO without poncho thinking that the water splashes outwards but we were wrong. It seemed like it's going outwards but wait for it, it will splash into you! But the sun was too strong that we dried our hair in 5 minutes. Took almost all the rides despite the long queues! Really efficient in crowd management ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

14 June 2017

Day 16: Nara Yoshiki-en > Todai-ji > Kasuga Taisha shrine > Nara park Nara! The land of deers ๐ŸฆŒ Saw a whole lot of deers and fed some or maybe a lot. All came to me when I was handing out the ไป™่ด and ้€€ๅŽ to walk into one - scary! Ended up throwing some of the ไป™่ด because their mouth just come down to my hands when I was preparing to crush the ไป™่ด for them ๐Ÿ˜… Deers start to look at me when I approached them and when they started walking towards me I back out but eventually touched a few deers. Touched the ้นฟ่ง’ too and realise they actually do sense through their ้นฟ่ง’ so it does really hurt when they have their ้นฟ่ง’ cut off I guess...

13 June 2017

Day 15: Kyoto Kinkaku-ji > Teramachi shopping street > Nishinki > Gion Bought the day pass for city bus because we are going to take at least 3 buses for the day. Each pass is 500ยฅ and each bus trip fare is flat at 230ยฅ so bus pass is the way to go!! Golden castle for 400ยฅ! Finally spent some money to enter a sightseeing ground in Kyoto since Huiqi highly recommend the golden castle or is it a temple? But concluded that taking the building alone is too dry, it needs some kind of background scenery to bring out its beauty. Bus to the shopping street for free food sample. Finally bought the yatsuhashi after trying it at so many shops (I think the amount I tried is enough to be sold as a big box hehe ๐Ÿ˜). Walked around and bought souvenirs and buy something expensive (380ยฅ ~5SGD) for myself only to realise I lost it after bathing ๐Ÿ˜ž The keychain was so beautiful and I was so proud to have bought it. Must have lost it in the crowded squeezy Nishinki ๐Ÿ˜ถ Another microwave dinner!

12 June 2017

Day 14: Kyoto Arashiyama > Nijo castle Finally went into that bamboo forest ๅชๅฏๆƒœ too many people :( only can find empty spaces in between crowd but still got my no-human bamboo forest haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Ate fried oden, I had tofu and cheese oden. It was OMG็š„delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹ Went on to Nijo castle but before that we nua-ed at family mart for an hour and felt bad so bought dango (one box of 3 sticks with 3 dango for 108ยฅ and it was 150ยฅ for a single stick at the arashiyama street) Why Kyoto you so many places need money to get to see ๐Ÿ˜’ so visits end shortly because there is just so much you can take from the outside which is free ๐Ÿ™‚ Early day back at the accommodation and ate a cup noodle because my stomach was feeling empty ๐Ÿ˜ but it wasn't as nice as I expected it to be in fact rather bad :/ Another microwave dinner and I had red rice and curry and made my own curry rice hehe ๐Ÿ˜ and it only cost 216ยฅ not even $3SGD ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

11 June 2017

Day 13: Kyoto Fushimi Inari Shrine > Chion-in > Kiyomizu dera After a night we finally reached Kyoto and perk ourselves up before heading to the accommodation. Then headed to the 1000 tori place and saw people selling tori (literally small birds not even chicken on stick ๐Ÿคข). Climbed for almost an hour to found out that we had only climbed 233m vertically ็œŸๆ˜ฏ็ดฏๆญปไบบไบ†. Went on to Chion-in and was too tired to continue some journey that seemed to be upwards so took a shelter at the souvenir shop where I ate a super big ice cream for 140ยฅ and they took free green tea ๐Ÿ˜ Walked to Kiyomizu dera and decided to nua a bit under the tree in the shade and planned the ไธ‹ไธ€็ซ™. Went on with plan of checking in > buy dinner > bath > eat + laundry. Bought dinner at Lawson 100 for 426ยฅ with 108ยฅ Lipton lemon tea from family mart! Though Kyoto seems to have less severe peak hours but the foreigner crowd on Sundays is crazy! Too much photo bombers in my photos!

10 June 2017

Day 12: Tokyo Akihabara > Shinjuku (again) > Maihama A day of anyhow walk around. Went to akihabara - a world of IT and anime so I feel ๆ ผๆ ผไธๅ…ฅ. Shinjuku again because Huiqi wanted to buy Ichiran ramen home then went to eat Ippudo and nua with the air-con and rooibos tea while ็ ”็ฉถ-ing the tea's benefits. Went back to the accommodation to take our luggage and took very hobo feel photos. Then head over to Maihama to take the night bus to Kyoto. But before that dinner at Saizeriya (see last 2 photos, before and after eating within 30 minutes) and fireworks at Disneyland (never enter also must at least take something back ๐Ÿ˜)

9 June 2017

Day 11: Tokyo Asakusa > Tokyo skytree > Meiji shrine > Shibuya > Ghibli museum Went to the temple at Asakusa and got a ๅ‡ถ็ญพ: Nevermind no point taking it too seriously :) Walked to Tokyo skytree and again stamp rally!! Went on to yoyogi park and Meiji shrine. Sudden discussion for tomorrow's plan to Disney sea because seems like tomorrow will be the peak day for the attraction so went down to the Disney store at Shibuya to try our luck for tickets and it was all sold out. After much panic, we decided to drop the plan and go for USJ instead on a weekday ๐Ÿ˜ Ghibli museum... No pictures inside so nothing much to show :( but attempted to made a ็ปผ่‰บ่Š‚็›ฎ out of the hand roll movie ๐Ÿ˜‚ Came back to try other food store near the vicinity and finally got my hands on the 100ยฅ Doriyaki ๐Ÿคค

8 June 2017

Day 10: Tokyo (Karuizawa) Shiraito falls > Stone church > Karuizawa Karuizawa day trip! 3 hours bus ride from Ikebukuro station and we booked like only a few hours before that. Had a little hard time finding the correct bus stop to board the bus but was on time for the bus so phew! Short visit to the falls before having to catch the next bus downhill in 15 minutes. Decided to head over to Naka-Karuizawa and visited stone church and walked past some terrace to catch the train back to Karuizawa in hope to visit the Usui observation deck but failed. Nonetheless the day trip was fulfilling because of the stone church. The stone church was... breath-taking! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

7 June 2017

Day 9: Tokyo Odawara castle > Harajuku > Shibuya Short day trip to Odawara for the castle. Nice park and the koi fishes there are super hungry! First entrance into a shrine and did the washing steps - cool~~~ Shifting our schedule around and decided to head over to Harajuku. Saw a bunch of crazy fan girls while walking to the shopping street but who's that ๅไบบ? Daiso and Kiddy land on the way and then walked to Shibuya. Took the ็ฉบๆกฃ of people going to the dog to take a photo of the dog without humans. Took the mandatory Shibuya crossing time lapse video (but can't share here ๐Ÿ˜ž) A day of ๆ€‚ๆฟ-ing each other... ไนฐๅ•ฆ~ ไนฐๅ•ฆ~ Finally saw my kiap earrings and its Disney so bought 3 pairs with each pair at ~$8SGD ๐Ÿ˜

6 June 2017

Culture shock from the squeezing in the train from Shinjuku to Nakano. Though it was only one stop but it felt forever when being squeezed. Decided that we should go out early and return late everyday to avoid the crazy rush. But seems like their rush hour is every single minute! ๐Ÿ”
Day 8: Tokyo Yaseda garden > Sumo museum > Shinjuku + Ichiran Lost friends while wandering about to take photo at the polar bear point - almost went down to the info counter to declare lost and found! Ran to the boarding gates after redeeming a free gift from stamp rally (Stamp rally are really addictive ๐Ÿ˜‚) Huge cultural shock from a ้ธŸไธ็”Ÿ่›‹ place to a ๅ‡ ไธ‡ๅช้ธŸ็”Ÿๅ‡ ไธ‡่›‹ place and missing the cold weather in Hokkaido. Even huge cultural shock when we went to the accommodation and see a super small room. Just a small walking aisle within the room which I can't even open my luggage because the guesthouse is for backpackers! And the toilet got no bidet :( Went to the attractions and ended with going to Shinjuku for Ichiran since everybody ไป‹็ป. Queue was long and we waited for 40-50 minutes. The experience was cool and not really stressed. Although we opened the doors but we still ate in silent - so practically we don't need doors also can enjoy the food ๐Ÿ˜‚

5 June 2017

Day 7: Sapporo Otaru canal > Otaru ่€่ก— > Sapporo clock tower Day trip to Otaru despite giving up going to the aquarium. The big fat seagulls are pretty yet ๆถๅฟƒ when 2 kept hovering above us and as low as almost hitting my head. Went till almost the end of the ่€่ก— to realise that there was a stamp rally and so we set off to collect all the stamps in order to exchange for all the free gifts. We settled our lunch cum tea break at the Letao shops that was everywhere... from chocolates to cookies to tea... all free! "ๆฐด็‰› in a ไธญๅ›ฝๅบ—" - the best idiom to describe me today. Feels very bad but relieved that the glass I dropped didn't break at all. And this happened twice!! All of which the shopkeeper asked me if I am fine rather than making sure their product didn't spoil. What's wrong with me today? My soul had once again flew off ๐Ÿ•Š Came back to Odori and tried another cheesecake sample. Took the sample myself since the person didn't bother to share with me ๐Ÿ˜’ Microwave food tonight!

4 June 2017

Day 6: Sapporo Odori park > Shiro Koibito Park > Mt Moiwa > Tanukkikoji shopping street Free wifi on the chuo bus from Furano to Sapporo and the bus was travelling at tortoise speed so hatch egg time! Walked to Odori station to save some time and saw the park and the TV tower. Very impressed with how the station is very linked with Shiro Koibito Park. Took shelter from the strong wind behind a stand and a ๅฐๅฆนๅฆน looked at me with high levels of curiosity. An episode at the park! One Japanese guy gave us money for our ice cream after he felt bad for knocking our ice cream down. But practically it's our fault for putting it on an unbalanced surface but he "daijobujannai" us and Chun eventually ไผธๆ‰‹ and took the money. Feels bad for making him pay but happy at the same time because it became ็„กๆ–™. Weather was bad so we skipped going up to see the fog ๐Ÿ˜… Had Chinese dinner at Ohsho at super cheap price!! Very ๆ„ŸๅŠจ to see a table full of food! The walk in ็‹ธๅฐ่ทฏ continued and we saw Kopitiam.

3 June 2017

Day 5: Furano Farm Tomita > Melon farm (?) > Flowerland Kamifurano > Furano Marche Today was just too cold and my hands were freezing till I can't feel them!! The melon farm has no farm with melons but just an area that sells melon related stuff. Took a super long windy rocky ๆฃฎๆž—ไน‹่ทฏ up to flower kamifurano to only know that there was a shorter road but it wasn't a ็™ฝ่ดน่ทฏ because I saw the pretty side of my ้›ชๅฑฑ. The view was just breath-taking all the tiring walks were ๅ€ผๅพ—. Went back to town to visit the marche (nothing much but just souvenir shops and some food stall) then headed to McDonald for dinner. I am very surprised that sides can be chosen so we went for the most ๅ€ผๅพ—็š„ nuggets with BBQ sauce. We are the only guest tonight and the host left a message and told us not to hesitate so... sleep in one room luggage in one room laundry in the living room hahahahahah ๐Ÿ˜‚ The host was rather nice so we left a message in the guest book with pretty drawings!

2 June 2017

Day 4: Biei Blue pond > Shirahige waterfalls > Biei town tower > Playgrounds Weather was nice to us today. Went to the blue pond and was lucky to leave before groups of domestic tourists came so was able to take pictures without much human. Mini episode of trying to aim at people who we saw has the pamphlet that contained the bus timing because we forget ours but end up finding it online ๆ‰€่ฐ“ ๆฑ‚ไบบไธๅฆ‚ๆฑ‚ๅทฑ haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Decided to walk to the waterfalls along the ๆˆ‘้˜ฟๅ…ฌ็š„่ทฏ for almost an hour and went into the ไธๅ‹• waterfall on the way. The water was so cold and clear, very tempted to drink though! Went on the journey to the next waterfall and climb up to the tourist center to a ็พŽ (ๆฒกๆœ‰้ฃŽๆ™ฏ) ็‘› (ๅ› ไธบๆœ‰้›พ) view. Went back to Biei town to explore and ้กบไพฟ find a dinner place. Chanced upon the town hall tower and went up to take pretty pictures and ๅ–ๆš–. Playgrounds!! One on the way to the supermarket and one after dinner! Why ๅค–ๅ›ฝ playground so much fun?! Loitered despite the strong wind ๅ†ทๆญปๆˆ‘ไปฌไบ† ไฝ ้œ€ๅ— ้ฃŽ?

Day 3: Biei Shikisai no Oka > Bike Went to Shikisai no Oka to see flowers ๅชๅฏๆƒœ not much is in bloom but still saw pretty flowers and the very spectacular ้›ชๅฑฑ range! So pretty and I can't decipher if it's snow or lava! Did I mention we went in by foot? 3km in and 3km out by foot. If only I have unlimited data I would have hatched an egg and get 2 candies haha ๐Ÿ˜‚ Then went back to Biei and rent bike at 200ยฅ/hour. Took almost 3 hours to get to a few trees. Why Ken and Mary tree is one single tree? Then it started to rain and we went into a bike parking space with shelter to settle our lunch (70ยฅ melon bun from 7-11). Went uphill and downhill to see seven star tree and downhill and uphill back to the bike rental shop in the rain.

Day 2: Asahikawa Asahikawa zoo > Walk around town Indeed a very interactive zoo where we can look at the animals from the POV of their prey and free animal shows. But how well "trained" are they to be able to know where exactly to walk to. It wasn't obvious with the other animals but especially obvious with the polar bears. Are they stressed or are they so well "trained" to be able to walk to exactly where there are humans so that we can take nice photos of them. Isn't the orang utan scared when it has to climb a height and get over to the other side via a rope just for food?! Nonetheless the zoo here is so much better than ermhem and so much cheaper! Japan you have earned my WOW yet again :)

Day 1: Asahikawa A very dramatic day! I was very cool about losing my MRT card until Huiqi reminded that I just top up 10000ยฅ into the card then I panicked a bit. Japan people have proven that they are very nice people. Everything ended well with a 565ยฅ (~7sgd) supper at 11pm >.<
Transiting in Taiwan!
